    • Very Pleased
The machine arrived in very good condition with no cosmetic issues. All functions work. I was very pleased to find that the battery life behaves like a new machine.

    • Incredible quality, but not feasible for it’s age and price
I bought this to run Windows via BootCamp, as it’s no longer supported on Apple Silicon machines. Windows 10 is going EOL shortly, so this isn’t a great long-term solution without some tweaking if you’re comfortable. On the macOS side of things, this device is beautiful. The design is timeless and feels great, and the quality is remarkable. Value for money wise, it’s definitely a beast of a machine considering the specs; but Apple Silicon still blows this out of the water. Most noticeably, the device gets HOT under simple loads, and the battery dies about 4 percent every few minutes; which can be expected because of the i9 processor and RAM capacity. I ended up returning the device because I found that Windows 11 isn’t natively supported by BootCamp, and couldn’t justify the heat and possible repair costs for this age of a device. Beautiful and powerful, but not for me. The refurbishment process seems like it’s pretty great though, this device was pretty much indistinguishable from a brand new Mac of this model year barring the dust and debris inside of the bottom case, fans, and heatsink; plus the power adapter seemed like a cheap knockoff. ... show more

    • Don't believe Amazon's hype. These machines are wildly unreliable.
My initial review: Very satisfied so far, with only a couple of weeks on the clock. If it continues to impress, I will come back and improve my review. It did come very clean with a strong battery, and I am inclined to give it five stars, but I need a bit more time. Eighteen months later: I have had to have this machine serviced twice now, and this second round is a massive problem. The touchpad no longer clicks, the USB ports are failing on one side, and now, the most recent upgrade has pretty well bricked the machine. I have no confidence in Amazon's ability to genuinely refurbish these machines. This is my second go at a refurb through Amazon, which never ceases to congratulate itself for offering these refurbs but never mentions the atrocious record they have for providing machines that collapse within a year. And Asurion loves to just junk your machine and give you another one of similar provenance, or a refund, so you get diminishing returns no matter what you do. I'm sick to death of Amazon generally, but this is a large part of why. ... show more

    • Meh It Works
The Macbook arrived with a malfunctioning charging brick. I needed this machine for a backup to get a project done so it made more sense to buy another charging brick rather than the time it would cost getting a replacement through processing a return. Additionally, the seller described the Macbook as being in "excellent" condition. The battery on the unit lasts, at best, 30 minutes before needing a charge. Then add the malfunctioning charging brick to the equation, I don't think "excellent" is the accurate word to use when describing the unit. It's dishonest and misleading but hey, they got their money. Purchase with caution. ... show more

    • Almost 5 star's.
Missed one star because they sent me a wrong model, they fixed the issue and sent me the correct model. However, shipping was slow when i paid for expedited shipping for the first one. So far everything is working as it should. Hardly any cosmetic damage. Had to charge before use, this is an Apple thing though, Apple Macbooks never 'shutdown' but rather sleep even if you shutdown. Charger is aftermarket, not OEM. ... show more

    • Buyer Beware
Received this and started setup. In the process of setting up a user account, the computer restarted and while the user account was created, it didn’t recognize the password I had given it. I didn’t enter an appleid during setup because i was setting it up for someone else. I went to reinstall the OS in an attempt to create a new user but was told the computer was linked to a gmail account that wasn’t mine. Contacted seller, they quickly sent me an RA and I returned it. Now they are saying the gmail account is mine and refuse to refund the money or replace the computer. If the computer hadn’t glitched I would never have known about the appleid attached to the computer and now all I get are repeat messages from them, no actual responses from anything I have told them. In my opinion this is a scam. The fact that I now see the exact same refurbished computer available on Amazon also makes me wonder. ... show more

    • For a Used Mac, It Works Perfectly
I picked up this renewed 2019 MacBook Pro expecting a few signs of wear, but honestly, it feels and performs like a brand‑new machine. The 2.4GHz Intel Core i9 is still a powerhouse, the 64GB of RAM handles everything I throw at it, and the 1TB SSD keeps things fast and spacious. The screen is gorgeous, the keyboard feels great, and the overall condition was far better than I expected for a used device. If you want top‑tier MacBook Pro performance without paying new‑Mac prices, this renewed model is a fantastic choice. Mine works perfectly. ... show more
