Description

Apple described it as their "thinnest iPod ever." It is 38% thinner (5.4 mm) than the Nano it replaces (8.78 mm), and adds the ability to use Bluetooth 4.0 wireless headsets, speakers and other devices (such as heart-rate monitors). It still included the Nike+iPod fitness option as well as an FM radio tuner which works when connected to headphones or a stereo jack. The 7th generation featured a 2.5 inch, 432x240 display at 202 PPI, Bluetooth 4.0 (with support for NIKE+iPod wireless systems), and a Lightning connector to replace the original 30-pin dock connector. Although its software resembles the iOS user interface, it is not an iOS device. The current and final version of the iPod software for this device is 1.0.4 for the initial release model and 1.1.2 for the mid 2015 refresh model.

It is really better if you have the apple headphones though because it is easier to switch songs. I bought this based on other's reviews. I really needed a new one as my old one was just not working properly. (Two years ago I accidentally put it in the Washer, so its surprising it worked at all) The price is cheaper than you would buy at the store, and with the money saved I was able to also buy an armband. I just received it yesterday and got it set up with my iTunes account. It is working very well for me. I only have music and podcasts on it, plus it tracks my steps when out walking. I am happy with this purchase. I am updating my review. I like it when it is working, but right now it is not working. This is the second time it has just died. The first time I was ready to send it back, it was completely dead. Not because the battery was dead-I originally thought that but nothing happened when I tried to recharge it. My computer did not even acknowledge my device. Then--it started working. I was relieved and kept it. Now, it has been weeks--not sure how long--and once again it is not working. I am hoping fervently that it starts to work again on its own. I am past the return date and I will not be happy if I have to spend more money on another one ... show more

I had an older nano that finally died so I decided to purchase a new one as I enjoy listening to commercial free music in my car. This worked just fine and is easy to load music on to. I've been using for 4 or 5 days now and it is working just fine. I charged it as soon as I received it and it charged up well. It turned on okay and I have been loading it and listening to it everyday since it arrived. Very good.

It arrived in great condition and works perfectly so far. It looks and functions just like new. I bought a refurbished one to save a few dollars and also people I know have had good luck buying refurbished items (specifically iPods) in the past. I was not disappointed in this product. Visually there is not a mark on it and everything works fine. I love the fact that there is an FM tuner built in. It's slim and light. This would get a higher rating and maybe it because it is a refurbished device. I find the buttons are to easily touched while in my pocket. I'll be sitting at my desk at work listening to a podcast and the audio will just stop. Pulled out the device and it just off. Pressing the circle button does nothing. I have to hold down the power button but it does't "turn on" from being off it takes about 1-2 seconds and the screen will come to life again. It doesn't act like it was powered down more like a sleep mode. Other than that works like a apple product that I am forced to buy because I have to much invested with itunes. Not really complaining I keep buying from them I think it somewhat ease of use with the itunes syncing and store front. ... show more

I am very pleased with this iPod! I was getting to the point where having music on my phone took up too much space and I just didn't really like using spotify or pandora or other types of apps for music with the ads and the limited skips, so I decided to get myself an iPod because the price of this one was the same amount if I had chosen to pay for 11 months of spotify premium, and I was very impressed with this one, it works perfectly and I can keep this for years to come! ... show more
