I waited and waited for Apple to offer an updated iPad Mini, but once it became obvious that this was still more than a year away I decided to buy a renewed Mini 5. I didn't want to pay the price of a "new" Mini 6, given that it really isn't new at all, but I needed something that would run updated software, which alas my original Mini can no longer do, although it still runs just fine. The Renewed Premium iPad Mini 5 proved to be an inspired choice. MUCH less expensive than a 6, but able to run the latest programs, to all intents and purposes it IS a new machine.
