Description

The iMac houses a 5th-Gen Broadwell 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad-Core processor with 16GB of 1867 MHz LPDDR3 onboard RAM. For storage, the iMac has a 1TB 5400 rpm HDD. Outfitted with 802.11ac Wi-Fi (backwards compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n) for the speediest hook-ups to your home network, this iMac is also configured with Bluetooth 4.0, as well as an SDXC card slot for extra storage, four USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, and a Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) jack. It also has a Kensington lock slot for added security. For ports, the iMac has dual Thunderbolt 2 ports (which also double as Mini DisplayPorts) and four USB 3.0 ports. You'll be able to connect with various compatible components. If you would rather go wireless with your peripherals, you can use Bluetooth 4.0 technology where compatible.

The mouse that came with the computer worked really well. The monitor is a good size with a great resolution and brightness ( after adjusting). The computer itself is a little slow starting programs, but I'm spoiled by faster processors on my PCs. It came in looking brand new even though it's refurbished. It's a great buy for any computer, but, especially for a MAC. This is a refurbished machine that works right out of the box. Included are the Apple Desktop, keyboard and mouse (the keyboard and mouse are plug in). If you want a wireless keyboard and mouse you will need to purchase them separately. My computer arrived the next day after it was ordered. On the website it showed that I would get the computer in 3 or four days. I was also pleasantly surprised that the desktop was dropped off in front of my apartment door (which is on the third floor). The desktop runs flawlessly; just needed to upgrade to a newer Mac OS system and it runs the exact same way that my other desktop that I gifted to my nephew runs. This machine costs over $900 brand new, and I paid $270 total....it is one of the best deals I have ever done for myself. There were no major flaws such as scratches, cracks, dents, or dead pixels. Just a machine that needed a new home. It also connected to my HP Printer via WiFi with no problems or complications at all. So I read some of the recent comments about this desktop computer. I went ahead and purchased it since it was a decent price and reviews were good. Well I started it up and one didn’t like the packaging I thought it would come in the Apple packaging, it didn’t. When I was trying to set it up I found a curled reddish piece of hair. Ew. so I bought this iMac about 5 weeks ago, honestly at first just to keep better organization of photos and music for all of our apple devices. boy was I wrong, I now use this for everything. daily surfing, bill paying, music, photos, work stuff. im am very impressed on how easy it was to get everything set up, its very fast for being an older model. updates during initial setup were seamless. I did try the magic keyboard and mouse to go with this unit, was not impressed at all. bluetooth connection issues left and right. it come with a basic keyboard and mouse (wired) but honestly not a big deal. they work and have all the FN keys labeled. Cons: obviously this unit doesn't have a disc drive.........I know, I know......I still use CD's. so I ordered the superdrive from apple.....amazing and easy to set up. could also use a few more usb slots since the keyboard and mouse are wired.......small hub the attaches under the screen for $30 or so works great and easier to access being in front. FOR THE PRICE POINT, YOU CANT BEAT THIS.....I did get the 16gb Ram, 1TB drive option ... show more
