    • Great Machine, Just don't use OWC ram for these!
I bought this in March 2023. I was having problems with the fan but it turned out to be a problem with the OWC ram that i had bought. That ram was causing the fan to run very loud. Doing research on the internet I found that others are also having a similar issue. I put the original 8GB apple ram back in and the fans ran fine. I ended up getting 32 GB of apple ram off of ebay and the fans are not spinning out of control like they were with the OWC ram. Also the keyboard I had hooked up had backlit keys and the keys were flashing with OWC ram. When i put apple ram in the flashing went away. Also, I believe these machines are missing some kind of a built in fan controller. I am running macs fan control and have it so it starts on bootup. I set it to a fixed speed of 1200 and when I do my graphic design stuff i crank it up all the way (2700 rpm), mainly for photoshop and 3d rendering software which can be ram intensive. I was lucky and got an original apple keyboard and mouse and not an aftermarket. I highly recommend this machine, it is very fast and the screen is huge. This beauty is absolutely what I selected and I was looking for specifically. Absolutely gigantic just what I wanted 27 inch within the boundary box and an amazing clarity. I wish I had known how incredible these older Macs were. 🖥️ most people keep theirs until they completely cannot use them and this is a 2020 so I have a lot of years left in this beautiful machine. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made. We are an apple ecosystem and so we have multiple 💻 Macbooks, and many many other Apple devices. We did not ever own an iMac until we purchase this one. We realize then we had waited way too long for this amazing product. This beautiful 27 inch is big and it is heavy. So be aware of that, but it is solidly built. Make sure that you get it with it being Amazon renewed so that you can be assure that you’re not going to have any problems with it. In my opinion, I would not buy any Apple product that was used without it being certified as Amazon renewed. Those products I’ve never had a single problem with. ... show more

I was genuinely impressed by the condition of the Mac for it being refurbished! It seemed pretty much brand new out of the box. The Mac came with an off brand keyboard and mouse which was a plus. Set up was easy and no problems upon use. Highly recommend.
