    • Great computer, would recommend getting portable SSD with this iMac
This is a really nice computer. I hadn't had a desktop at home for years, but decided I wanted one so I could do more work from home, so I looked into older Macs. This one is really nice, great graphics and features and you can't beat the low cost. The one thing I would recommend is to get an external SSD to boot this iMac from. This comes with an HDD, which are really slow. I didn't have many issues with it, except on startup and certain apps like Outlook were slow running on that drive. Bought a Samsung T7 SSD and set that as the boot drive and it made this computer function with lightning speed. It's like a brand new computer, even with the lower 8 GB of RAM. Can't recommend that enough. One final thing to be advised on, is these don't ship with Magic Keyboard or mice. They come with cheap generic wired mouse and keyboard. I ended up buying a nice Macally ergonomic keyboard and mouse to replace the cheap ones that came with it. ... show more

I've had Windows computers for the last 30 years. Not so much recently but over the years I spent countless hours self-diagnosing problems, restoring to an earlier date, rebooting, going into BIOS trying to figure things out. Plus don't forget, having to purchase the new Windows operating system disks when the old versions wouldn't work with certain programs. I learned a lot about computers but eventually you have to admit it's a lot of wasted time that shouldn't have been. I'm sure I brought a lot of this on my self as I am the type that likes to try to fix things without taking the machine to a shop. I recently have been looking to upgrade my monitor as the one I have is sort of small. That's when these Apple computers caught my eye. I've had good luck with refurbished products from Amazon. Whether it be the 8-inch Show the Ring Doorbell or the Echo Speaker, when I get things they're just like new. The first one I bought was about $250 from Woot (seller) It was a late 2014 Apple computer. It had issues where the hard drive was not working correctly. I thought everything was okay but after about a week a message popped up and said not enough disc space even though it had a one terabyte hard drive. It had a few minor scratches on the plastic benzyl around the screen but I could live with that if the computer had just worked correctly. After returning I continue to look and found this early 2019 model. Seems like I paid around $550. This one comes in an original white Apple computer box inside of a larger brown box. So far everything's good I guess I've had it about a month. Cosmetically it's perfect. I tried to take some pictures to show close-ups, No scratches anywhere and the screen is perfect. These computers boot up in no time almost like turning on a tablet. For years I've been standoffish about Apple products because I knew Windows and thought that it may be difficult to learn another operating system. Surprisingly with apple everything's pretty much straight forward I felt comfortable with it after a week or so. Basically what I use it for is just to pay bills online. I know you can do everything on your phone nowadays but it still neat to have this toy to sit down in front of. For me the 21 1/2 screen is plenty big and apples retina display, as they call it, as unbelievably clear. Overall very well satisfied ! ... show more

DONT BUY THIS, they didn't actually renew this computer, it arrived, looked amazing, plugged it in and it requested a password for 'user". Upon contacting support, they realized this computer was still linked to the previous owner, therefore NOT renewed and unable to be used AT ALL. only option is to return. HUGE waste of time. ... show more

Pretty satisfied with this Mac. It seems to work pretty well. Love that it has 1 TB of space, because that’s what I need. I edit videos and need a lot of storage. I appreciate the decent price because usually Apple products like this are 1,000 to 2,000 dollars. Thank you!

so far it works good, the only thing is that it has one scratch and couple of shadows down in the corners, but not a big deal, is a refurbished computer. other than that its working like it should

Seller sent this computer very quickly. Apple box was a little worn but the computer was properly packaged with the Styrofoam inserts and the mouse, keyboard and cord were in a separate box. Computer appeared to be brand new, I could not find any scuffs or defects. Setup was quick and easy, internal components showed up on MacOS just as listed. Retina screen is amazing, programs and the internet look sharp. This was a replacement for my 2009 iMac 27-inch model that finally gave up the ghost. I don't notice the smaller screen size at all. WiFi connections to internet and printer via my router went without a hitch. One thing to be aware of. Upgrading ram memory cannot be done by the user as the screen and many internal components have to be removed to get to the ram tray. On the 27 inch iMac's the user can easily upgrade ram by removing the tray from the bottom of the unit. So I would be sure to order the 8 meg ram and 1 TB hard drive as a minimum.
