  • Sleek, powerful, and a photographers dream. 11/10
Style: Apple M5 chip Capacity: 16GB Memory | 512GB | 10-core CPU / 1... Color: Space Black Set: Without AppleCare+
Okay so I actually had to return this item with amazon because they messed up delivery and my friend wouldn't get it in time because I am studying overseas and had to get it from Best Buy instead. However, I just have to leave a review. I LOVE this MacBook. I am a Mac user through and through, I have had a 2020 Pro, 2021 Air, and 2023 Air before. This one is far superior. I upgraded from my 2023 Air because my cat likes to chew on my screen and I didn't want to wait to fix the screen so I am going to sell the other once fixed. Additionally, I am a hobby photographer and waiting 10 seconds for each task on my air to complete in Lightroom and photoshop was miserable. I did a lot of research before getting this laptop and was trying to decide between a M3 pro, M4 pro and M5 chip. Ultimately I decided on this because the deal was unbeatable for Black Friday and the product reviews only say it is a little powerhouse despite the lower CPU/GPU in comparison with the pro chips. I can't compare to those chips, but the difference between the 2023 Air and the M5 is night and day in regards to speed of complex processes. It is also very nice for the SD card slot to be in the computer and not needing an adapter. For any PHOTOGRAPHER this is an amazing laptop that will be a lovely upgrade. It runs Lightroom and photoshop seamlessly. It takes no loading time to upload 100 photos onto light room and instantly saves them. Well worth the money. I haven't had any problems with it overheating, even though I am running a lot of tasks. The screen size is the perfect size IMO, the 13 is too small and my 15 air was too big. Brightness is great. It looks amazing in the space black color and is so sleek. Heavier than my 15 in air but that is to be expected. The battery life is good for how powerful it is. Overall super happy with this laptop. Would buy again every time. ... show more

  • It's ok but but maybe not super great
Style: Apple M5 chip Capacity: 16GB Memory | 512GB | 10-core CPU / 1... Color: Silver Set: Without AppleCare+
So it's a Macbook Pro. If you've ever owned one all the standard stuff applies. Prior to this laptop I had a 2019 Macbook air that was honestly working just fine but unfortunately I dropped it and broke the screen so it was time to upgrade and there was a black friday deal on Amazon so I went for it. I do a little more video editing and more process intensive tasks these days but nothing super hardcore but I decided to go with more power anyhow. So far, it's just fine, but not amazing. It's heavier for sure, but that's the tradeoff for more power and battery life. Unfortunately, I can't say I'm really impressed with the battery life. I honestly haven't noticed a big difference from my nearly 6 year old macbook air. All the talk was about the super impressive battery life no matter what software you were running, and I just haven't found that to be the case. When using any sort of graphic/processor intensive software it drains quite quickly and that's with the screen brightness at 60% or less. It's just not that impressive. The keyboard is taking quite a bit to get used to as well. I'm finding that you really have to apply a good deal more force on the keys than I did with the macbook air and even after having this thing for a couple months now, I'm still not used to it. I hope I haven't wasted my money by going with this laptop over the less expensive air. I really got it for battery life, a little more power and the HDMI port which I will say is actually clutch. I also wanted the ability to use two external monitors at the same time which it handles just fine. I do like the bigger screen and the build quality is what you would expect from apple. I'm still not a fan of the sharp/angled edges. It would be more comfortable to rest your hands and wrists on when typing if the edges were more rounded. The other thing I really miss from my MacBook air is the ability to charge from USB-C. I hate having another proprietary charger to carry around. And honestly the MagSafe isn’t great. It doesn’t detach all that easily which is supposed to be the key feature incase you snag the cable. I just hope I get at least 5-6 years out of this computer. ... show more

  • If I could give this 10 stars I would.
Style: Apple M5 chip Capacity: 16GB Memory | 512GB | 10-core CPU / 1... Color: Space Black Set: Without AppleCare+
I made the switch from PC to Mac hesitantly. Due to my profession in networking, I work primarily with Windows and Linux so I was a bit hesitant to switch. However, I saw one of my coworkers with a MacBook and he said since he switched he hasn’t had any issues, and performance was never an issue. So I decided to try it out with his MacBook for a couple of days and I was instantly convinced. Since purchasing, I’ve used this computer every single day and it’s amazing. It’s fast, reliable, easy to use, the battery lasts all day, even running multiple virtual machines. The screen size is perfect because it’s not too big and not small either. Weight at first seemed like it was going to be uncomfortable to carry since my work laptop is half the weight, but I barely even notice the difference. And the MacBook Pro looks great. I recommend this laptop for anyone who is a professional , or even a student, I also apart from working full time, go to school full time for different certification courses and it’s never caused any issues. ... show more

  • You know what it is, if you want it, buy it.
Style: Apple M5 chip Capacity: 16GB Memory | 512GB | 10-core CPU / 1... Color: Silver Set: Without AppleCare+
If you wanted a MacBook Pro with M5, you’re getting exactly what you want. Bought it on a late “Black Friday“ deal, price was better than I could get anywhere else, and was using CME money regardless. It does everything I need it to do and actually more than I ever will need. I am one of those users that could have easily gone with an Air, but I wanted the integral HDMI without having to carry a dongle around, and was OK sacrificing a bit of portability. I may be in the minority and actually prefer the Air keyboard, but that certainly isn’t a dealbreaker. Amazon had the best deal on the base configuration anywhere at the time I purchased. And everyone knows you really don’t want to go paying for a higher configuration unless you absolutely must with Apple products. ... show more

Style: Apple M5 chip Capacity: 16GB Memory | 512GB | 10-core CPU / 1... Color: Silver Set: Without AppleCare+
MacBook was bought as a gift from my mother. It replaced my Touch Bar id MacBook, and it was cheaper. I rarely charge it albeit I am rarely on it post college. Days later, it holds a charge. It boosts a beautiful screen and it easily slips in my tote bag when I do bring it. It’s very fast, compared to my ‘19 model. ... show more
