    • Awesome deal on a refurbished MacBook Air m4
I saw this MacBook air 15 inch on sale for prime day and immediately jumped on it before it sold out and I'm sure glad that I did. In terms of value, it was a great deal at $714 before tax. The product was listed as refurbished. I've had mixed experiences with refurbished products and admittedly you are taking a chance when you pick up used technology, but I have had the best experiences when I've tried official amazon refurbished stuff so I decided to risk it. In terms of its condition, the MacBook air was practically in like new condition. I couldn't see hardly any signs of wear. The screen and body were scratch free and I was even surprised to find the battery health was at 100%, which means this laptop was not used very much at all prior to this. This is for the midnight color MacBook air which is more of a matte black color tone. I do like the appearance and feel, however I think the midnight color is probably one of the more weaker colors because if your laptop body ever gets scratched it will reveal the silver color underneath. In terms of performance, this is the m4 silicon chip so it's performance speaks for itself. The MacBook performs as fast as many other laptops out there in the $1000 to $2000 price range and it outperforms many that are above this price. The m4 is not as powerful as the m5 but if you research the m4 you will find that it is more than powerful enough for anything you throw at it. You can even do decent gaming with it, as long as you are willing to deal with some thermal throttling at higher temps. That's one of the downsides of a laptop without a fan. It is a little over 3 lbs so it's not heavy at all and I can easily fit it in my backpack without feeling like I'm weighted down with too much stuff to carry. The speaker system is also excellent with 6 speakers producing a nice overall soundstage. If you know about the MacBook air then you already know about how great a thin and light laptop it is. I mainly just want to focus my review on the amazon refurbished part of this MacBook to reassure any buyers that if the product is listed in excellent condition, you can trust that it is in fact in excellent condition and may even be practically new. ... show more

    • Thin and keyboard flimsy, go easy
Just set this up ... I had to give it FOUR stars because of macOS Tahoe it's a mess to navigate. Sequoia is ok on my mini but the Migration did not work mini -> MacBook; took 30 minutes and did not transfer Logic Pro which I paid for and Stats which was free but it id transfer Chrome which I did not care to have. Battery looks good so far but running Safari not Chrome until I can download stats from the Apple Store. The keyboard feels like typing on eggshells so another keyboard might be useful. If you want to hook up an external monitor, get a hub with only TWO thunderbolts (mini has THREE) you'll need it. Its a fine laptop but I need to invest more than I wanted to make it do what my Mac mini does stock Cheers ... show more
