Features

  • DR BRUCE BUGBEE: Apogee DLI PAR meters have been designed and refined by Dr. Bruce Bugbee, a world-famous crop physiologist
  • DLI-500 FULL-SPECTRUM METER: Provides research-grade measurements of PAR (PPFD), DLI, and photoperiod from 400-700 nm for all plant grow-lighting. It records spot measurements and daily light integral (DLI) in molm-2d-1 and photoperiod in 0.2-hour increments for up to 99 days. Monitoring and adjusting the DLI (total photosynthetic photons in a 24-hour period) and photoperiod (hours of light) are crucial for optimizing plant health, flowering, and other morphology effects. PPFD, DLI, and photoperiod data can be viewed onscreen or downloaded via USB-C for analysis.
  • RUGGED AND VERSATILE: IP65-rated for durability in harsh environments. Can be placed on any surface or mounted with standard camera equipment. Includes protective case, soil stake, AAA batteries, USB-C cable, screwdriver, and QuickStart guide.
  • MANUFACTURED IN THE USA: All meters are backed by our four-year warranty and supported by our US-based customer support team.

  • Can't beat the accuracy and reliability of Apogee products
Style: DLI-600
If I had to force a complaint I'd say I wish I didn't have to remove 2 screws to access the USB-C port, but I have no doubt it's concealed where it is for a reason, and it's not much of an inconvenience at all. Otherwise it's all positive marks for the DLI-600. The universal thread is a great idea, I picked up an inexpensive, telescoping tripod/wand to use for quick and long term readings. Compared these readings with a 2 year old MQ-510 and they're nearly identical. Easy to access the files via the included USB-C cable on my laptop. You get what you pay for and I have no doubt this DLI-600 will be taking accurate readings for years to come. No more burning, or under lighting my plants. Keep up the good work, Dr. Bruce. ... show more

  • Now I know my light is at the correct height. The best par meter that exists.
Style: DLI-600
Very easy to use. It is easy to give a plant too much light. If you use this meter your plants will get just what they need.

  • Defectuoso
Style: DLI-400

  • Not thunderstorm resistant
Style: DLI-400
This died within a month while out in thunderstorms occasionally. It seemed accurate but to read it you have to open it, which disconnects the batteries and forgets today’s results. It only records CSV with data for every half hour for ten days (and daily for 100 days I think), even though it samples more frequently. It didn’t show up when connected to my iPad or modern Mac, but it did intermittently connect to my very old Mac (from 2006). I loved it despite these problems but for the price I need it to survive the weather. ... show more

  • Broken From Bad Design
Style: DLI-600
The battery compartment screw was completely stripped and the screw falls out. It arrived like that. Incredibly poor design for an expensive instrument.
