Used this product for years. A bit disappointed I couldn't get it in a gallon size. But always on inventory in my house and use it when i do a water change in the aquariums at about half dose. Vital for new aquarium setups to get established!

i don't have algae eating fish so i noticed green algae growth on the corners of the tank, on the rocks and plant leaves. 4 days after adding the recommended dose the algae growth lessened and after a week or so it was too a bare minimum. some reviews about this product state that it doesn't work and dont waste your time and money. i disagree completely because my Betta"shark" seems much happier and yes the algae growth is barely seen and the water is much much much cleaner. I'm really not into doing frequent water changes because it will disrupt the delicate balance of the aquarium environment. like i said, this product works! but nothing can last forever so for me replacing the water has been prolonged to about 2 months or so. i much rather use this than aquarium salt which btw can be harmful to your fish if used incorrectly. use only if your fish had an illness. this product is much more beneficial because fish need bacteria to survive. there was a review about a person mentioning that the product is just a marketing scam and it's hard to believe that something ie: bacteria in a bottle sitting on a shelf cannot live for months on end waiting to be purchased and used. if this product is trulya scam and it doesn't work then explain to me why my algae is suddenly almost gone? ... show more
