  • above expectations
I really like it, it meets expectations. Useful and fun to see at night.

  • Affordable Night Vision Binoculars
I really like these night vision binoculars. For the price they are so much fun. Even my kids love them. I used them to look at deer and birds at night and for the most part they work very well. The pictures that it captures are pretty low quality though. I don't think you can call that 4k. Also the controls are difficult to use and get used to. Still though, for under $100 this is really cool to have. The nightvision on them works great. I was surprised how well it worked at even the strongest magnification. Overall I do recommend this at the price but just know the captures aren't very good. ... show more

  • Not Binoculars.
The night vision device isn't your traditional optic but rather a digital image sensor with decent low-light performance and infrared support. It's easy to toggle between modes and adjust settings, with comprehensive instructions. The field of view could be wider, especially when zoomed out. Holding it at a distance from your face might feel strange compared to traditional night vision optics. However, it's suitable for longer-distance observations. The image quality on the screen is good, though recorded images are slightly less impressive. For the price, it's a fun device with some limitations, making it suitable for nighttime exploration and spotting night-active creatures. ... show more

  • 3.5 stars really, FOV is not great, captured images are just OK, fun toy
The media could not be loaded. To start with, it’s not binoculars and it’s not something you put right up to your eyes. You have to hold it out in front of you like you would any LCD device, like your phone. So minimum eye relief will vary person to person, but we’re talking at least six inches from your face. I did some testing and took some pictures of a riding mower at about sixteen yards away and a house from about fifty yards away. And of course the house has pretty standard dimensions for a single story. I really find that I don’t like the field of view at all. It’s quite narrow (they state seven degrees) as you can see from my pictures. It really is better for longer distance observations. If you were wanting to watch wildlife at twenty-five plus yards it’s probably fine, but if you wanted to scan your backyard under twenty-five yards it’s not great for field of view. The buttons and usage might be a tad odd at first, but are not hard to learn. The focus wheel on the bottom is super easy to turn and placed well. I really do wish it had a proper eye piece that you just hold to your face like binoculars though. Holding it out in front of you is a bit of an odd feeling to me, but all my prior experience is with true night vision binoculars/monoculars/scopes with proper eyepieces. The image quality is good when looking at the screen, but not as great for the recorded images. I snapped a series of pictures adjusting the IR illuminator intensity from the maximum of zero (off) to five. Overall for the money it’s a fun device and should be OK with some limitations. ... show more

  • Limited field of view but works quite well
This is not traditional night vision. Really it's some sort of digital image sensor (camera) which works okay in low light and also supports infrared. When you first turn it on it is not in IR mode so it is a bit like a normal camcorder. It was in 1080P with anti-shake turned off when I got it but it's easy to change in the menu and does have a 4K setting for video and snapshots. The instructions are reasonably comprehensive and easy to follow. Some buttons have dual functions so you'll have to pay attention to that. For example, the same buttons adjust the intensity of IR light and zoom depending on how recently you switched to IR mode. I'm impressed with everything except for the field of view. I've paid much more for traditional night vision monoculars in the past. It would be nice if the FOV was a bit wider when zoomed all the way out. The attached picture is only from about 12 feet away but it's still rather tight at 100 feet. The color mode isn't super useful at night but in my opinion the IR mode is super clear. Auto-focus would be nice but the big focus wheel makes it easy enough to adjust manually. The 300 meter max range is really dependent on how much light is available. Maybe that's how far they think the IR emitter can throw IR illumination, but I don't have anywhere to test at that distance in complete darkness at the moment. The emitter definitely does work and changing the level is immediately apparent on the resulting image. ... show more

  • Handy simple Monocular Day/night vision device
PEXEL 4K Night Vision Goggles, 3'' Screen The "goggles" part of this device is a bright 3" LCD screen display. There is only one monocular lens, the other "Lens" on the front is the infra-red light source. There is a large thumb-accessible focus wheel under the one lens. There are additionally digital zoom capabilities. The night vision works Ok, you do get what you pay for, and for a low cost optic such as this, the view in near total darkness is not bad, but grainy and low res. When using this device in darkness, your face will be illuminated by the display screen shining the image back at your eyes, so not a "stealth" night vision scope.. I ordered this for the kids to explore night time outdoors, we have lots of night active creatures around that are fun to spot. We have good family fun with this. ... show more

  • Good digital binocs
These digital binocs are loaded with all of the features expected for a product at this price point. These provide a nice clear image at 4K in both day and night conditions. The controls are easy to use and placed in logical locations for operating without looking. I was able to immediately use the menuing system without having to consult any manual. Everything made sense. The focus mechanism is smooth and easy to use. The binocs are very light in weight. The zoom is 5x, which is adequate for close and mid range viewing. It is possible to take both photos and video with the binocs, which is great for lots of purposes. I appreciated that they came with a 32GB card in the box, along with strap, cleaning cloth, and charging/data transfer cable. The package is ready to go right away without having to get some additional accessories. ... show more
