  • Easy to install and works great!
If it takes your water a long time to get hot, this will solve your problem. I was considering a similar system where the pump mounts at the water heater, but that installation was much more involved and I didn't want to deal with that. Then I found this where the pump mounts under the sink. Installation could not have been easier. You do need an outlet under the sink, or near enough to plug the pump into, and room enough under the sink to put it. I had to mount a small shelf to the back wall of the sink cabinet to get it above the stuff we have under the sink. Make sure you put the brass fitting with the red mark on the hot side of the pump (also marked red). You can get this wrong - ask me how I know. Just follow the installation directions. Our water now gets hot in seconds. You can hear the pump humming, but it doesn't run often and it's small price to pay for having near instant hot water. It was a little on the expensive side, but the quality is excellent and it was well worth the investment. ... show more

  • Yay, no more waiting
Arrived quickly, nicely made, installed easily, and it works! Only day 2 so much is yet to be determined as to reliability and endurance. But it's working as advertised and a very nice benefit. It's better than other systems that pump constantly, it only pressurizes when the temperature at the sink cools, then activates. No waiting 1+ minutes for hot water. It saves lots of water use. ... show more

  • Worked great for 24 hours. Then stopped.
Worked great for 24 hours. Had instant hot water at tap that usually takes 2-3 minutes to get there. Checked the 2nd day and water took 2-3 minutes to warm up. Pulled all out of cabinet to get to unit and it was humming and motor was real hot. Called the # to get help and after 45 minutes gave up. Will send defective unit back and look for another solution. ... show more

  • This device is amazing - worth every penny (and your time).
I considered some of the less costly offerings but in the end I realized I was going to put a half-day's labor into its installation, took a deep breath (I'm very thrifty) and elected to buy a product that would respect my time. I'm not disappointed. The APCOM recirculation pump has brass fitting and what appears to be a steel pump body (I didn't check it pretty heavy to be aluminum). The product includes all the hardware needed for an installation in North America. While I'm sure the chrome on the fittings make them more durable, I was a little frustrated the plating was thick enough to require an adjustable wrench (which it does say in the instructions) instead of my Snap-ons. I have none of these knuckle-busting, nut-rounding potential projectiles in my tool box but fortunately my ol' lady isn't so curmudgeonly and was able to come to my rescue with a nice collection she hides from me somewhere in my own garage. The pump itself is pretty quiet, but vibrates the floor of my cabinet that I can hear it in the room next door where I keep my office. I did not elect to screw the pump body to the floor of the cabinet, but there are holes in the mount to do just that. It sits just fine without - but the peculiarities of my home may force me to buy four screws and rubber pads. I'm not sure why they didn't install (what I assume are check valves - on is position marked) instead of depending on your reading the instructions. If you're like me and have the battle cry "I don't read instructions, I write them!" It helps to know I'm an engineer. Do yourself a favor and match the brass fittings with the red paint on them. Finally, this comes with a single page, well written instruction sheet but in ENGLISH ONLY (not a criticism). I suppose if you're a Spanish speaker you could get one of your kids to read it to you; it's very straight-forward. I don't know how to recommend this product more. Update after a few days... I sacrificed a silicon trivet to place under the pump (no screws). Perfection! The cabinet no longer resonates and it absolutely cannot be heard. I think I paid $9 for a set of four here on Amazon (Premium Silicone Trivet Mats: 4 Multi-Purpose Pot Holder, Oven Mitts Hot Pads– Versatile, Heat Resistant, Non-Slip Jar Opener, Gripper Pad, Garlic Peeler, Drying Mat, Coaster - Heavy-Duty (Black)) ... show more

  • This pump actually works!
I have a kitchen sink that is quite far from the tank-top water heater located in the garage. It takes up to 2 minutes to get the hot water. Recently I learned about recirculation pump idea. After doing some research and given that I have a power outlet underneath the kitchen sink, I purchased APCOM UT1. The unit is quite heavy, which I'd personally interpret as being well-made. The installation takes like an hour but not difficult. I just need to make sure all connections are carefully tightened to avoid water leak. I also used a smart power socket so I can control the on-time from my phone instead of using the built-in timer. This unit works beautifully. For example, I set my smart socket to turn on between 7am to 9am in the morning. When we get to the kitchen in the morning after 7am, the hot water is available almost instantly (in contrast to 2 minutes wait as before). I'm also very satisfied with the very low noise level when it runs (I have pretty sensitive ears to noises). The built-in timer is also super quiet (even though I don't use the timer, it keeps running when the power is on so the noise level matters). The only 4-star (instead of 5-star) I gave is the price. $350+ feels a bit pricier than I hoped. I went for it for the brand. I definitively don't regret paying for it. ... show more

  • Warm not hot (no adjustment ☹️)
Easy to install I was able to run an independent return line. We do not need to wait for the water to get warm but I would say it is not hot until we do let it run for minutes

  • Warm water instantly, hot shortly
Gives you warm water instantly Solved our long wait for hot water Love it Old one had sticking valves after two years I'll clean valves and use as back Requires 110v plug in I don't use the timer, just leave it in on setting
