  • The UPS for server environments.
Size: 2200VA
APC is the name for server UPSs. They offer a large line of UPSs in a variety of capacities. The Network cards are functional and have available software for most implementations.

  • Had this for 12 hours and LOVE IT! Better performance than my 10 yr old UPS battery
Size: 1500VA
5/5 Rating Pros Can handle large loads of power Easy to connect and register LCD Digital Display 8 plug outlets Takes up small space Cons HEAVY!!! The outlet plugs on the back are very close together, it's tough to use all the plug outlets Pricey I operate a small business as well as do tons of research with my custom built computer. I have dual 32 inch monitors that takes up a lot of power. I am quite sure I draw more power than most. My previous UPS back up battery served me well until I got the monitors, now 3 times a month I get an overload on my UPS and the noise won't go off until I unplug all outlets. It's grown to be a pain. Until this arrived. First impression - It's HEAVY!! Once you get it out the box you see it has a small form factor which is good. It can lay under the desk or to the side. I like that it has 8 outlets but they are so close together you can't plug anything that has a large plug without taking up two spots. I plugged everything I had in my 10 yr old UPS and the load is only at 25% on this. I love it. It was easy to register, I haven't used much of the advanced features but I will slowly get into it. So far so good. I'm very impressed with the quality and ease of use. I will update my review after using for awhile. ... show more

  • It does what it says it does.
Size: 1500VA
This unit is reliable. I have had a server running just under its 1500W threshold. Power has gone out a number of times, as demonstrated by all the blinking appliance clocks. The computer I left running attached to this UPS did not miss a beat.

  • Good product with some shipping surpises
Size: 2200VA
PC Nation did a good job with post-sales communications and the APC UPS delivered was as advertised. PC Nation did not disclose limitations to their free shipping on the Amazon product page though. The UPS delivered had a134 pound shipping weight, was delivered by an 18 wheel truck, and PC Nation required the purchaser to unload the 134 pound UPS from the back of the 18 wheel truck. They did identify this issue in their post sales communications. The shipper happened to be Estes and their communications for delivery were excellent. The driver was also nice enough to lower the UPS to the ground using a hydraulic lift on the truck. This was a pleasant surprise. If you are ordering something with a shipping weight of 50 pounds or more, you may want to coordinate with PC Nation to identify undocumented conditions associated with their free shipping. ... show more

  • Nice, but HEAVY
Size: 1500VA
I purchased this unit to protect a 2019 Mac Pro, which benefits from the pure sine wave output as opposed to the simulated sine wave on other models, which may eventually cause issues with the power supply. This unit is very heavy, weighing almost 60 lbs. It was hard to maneuver into a media cabinet, but otherwise, set up was a cinch. I just plugged in all of my peripherals, connected the UPS to the network via ethernet, and plugged in the USB-A cable from my Mac to the UPS. After turning the unit on and setting up the UPS via a simple wizard that asks basic questions on the LCD screen, everything powered up and my Mac automatically recognized the UPS without any additional software. I was able to configure the UPS shutdown parameters via System Preferences > Energy Saver > UPS. - FYI, the batteries were about 87% charged when the unit arrived, but they are now up to 99%. - There is an off putting chemical smell when you first remove and use the UPS, but it dispersed after a couple of days. - Operation is silent. I haven’t heard any fan noises or beeps from this unit so far. - FYI, the 2019 Mac Pro connected to this unit has 16 cores and an AMD Vega II graphics card, but even at full load, it uses about 50% of this UPS’s capacity. There is also a Caldigit TB3 dock and LG Ultrawide display attached. So far, I am happy with this UPS, but I’m not looking forward to carrying this heavy unit out of the cabinet in 3-4 years to replace the batteries. ... show more

  • Great Company, Great Power Supply
Size: 1500VA
This is a great power supply. I have used this model for over 10 years, but I just ordered the new model. It is much improved and connects to the my internal network and the usb connection to the computer is a much better process using any usb connection. Great software has been improved.

  • When you buy a new unit and it say now battery...
Size: 1500VA
This is my second APC unit, first one got me 5 years. This one can't even get me 5 seconds. I bought this brand new, yet setup says there is no battery connected and that it is on utility. My Last one had 98% charge out of the gate. I can guarantee the battery is connected or did I just get a box of bricks with a battery connector? Anyway, there is not much support on the issue and no guide to tell you what you are supposed to expect on setup. Pretty sure it isn't supposed to be beeps every 2 seconds that you can shut off, but they come right back on. I will see if APC will right this as they sold me an expensive paper weight instead of a UPS. If they do right, I will update the review. Update #1 Wow. Now I am getting a P05 code meaning backfeed relay weld. Yeah, someone built this on a Friday afternoon quickly so they could make their tee time. Brand new. You CANNOT return this product. If you buy this "new" and it is damaged you are stuck with it. GREAT Job APC. I just saw a couple of recent reviews with the same issue. Looks like they are selling us defective equipment disguised as new equipment. I guess this is legal. ... show more
