The most important feature was that the cooktop fit. It was replacing one that had cracked. We had a fixed opening & many were too big for the opening. My only concern it that it is hard to clean. It had a real sheen to it that it never seems to be smudge free. It shows finger prints & it requires so much buffy so the top doesn’t look smeared. (so different than my old cooktop). I’m constantly buffy the top to keep a uniformed clean appearance. It’s not dirty, it’s hazy, streaky, smudged & not as buffed as when I purchased it. I’ve used a smooth top range cleaner, rinsed it off & still need to buff the surface with little or no success. When I think everything is starting to look better, I then have to deal with the surface between the knobs. As you buff out one area, another area is gets smeared or smudged. If the manufacturer has any input, I would appreciate it. I do like the the cooktop, but don’t care for the finish. If they could suggest a cleaning product, I would greatly appreciate it. I tend to like clean mirrors, clean window & clean stove tops.

Doesn't work. Took a couple of hours to pull the old broken unit out and install the new one. Switched power back on. Quick turn of the knobs gave me some pleasant beeps and a comforting red light. Turned everything off and cleaned up. 2 hours later I'm excited to use it to cook some breakfast. Red light comes on at the control knob, get some beeps as I set the level. Then there is a click inside the top and the light flashes and I get nothing from the heating element. Instructions suggested maybe I was using the wrong type of pan. Tried stainless, cast iron, ceramic coated aluminum, high carbon steel...this isn't an induction stove top so it shouldn't matter. Tried customer service. Nice text messaging setup. No reply but a promise that they will get back as soon as possible. It's been 5 hours with no response. Either this company is crazy busy with bad products or there is no one at customer service. Bad thing is, I cut up the packing during my clean up. Time to go digging in my trash so I can return this thing. Update: Ordered a new cook top from another vendor, it came in a week later, I installed it and works great. Packed up the defective one they refused to assist me with, and drove it to the "closest" Amazon drop location about 20 miles from my house on 12 Jan 2026. It's now 20 Jan 2026 and I get notification that the processing of my return is delayed, with no explanation. Maybe it's the cancer, or maybe its the radiation therapy, but my ability to accept and chill is greatly diminished.
