Time will tell right? But so far this is great. I don't know why they don't mention all of the extra great features. This thing has a very bright little LED light facing out from the controller that is very effective. The spring suspension really does take a lot of the bumps out of the ride. The unit only uses one battery at a time and it is great to have a spare, but that battery goes on and on and on. A lot of seats in folding chairs like this are very uncomfortable, but this one has a very good cushion that is firm and doesn't bow in the middle the way a lot of chairs do, which get very uncomfortable over time. Underneath that cushion there are springs and bars like what you would see in the boxspring of a mattress. Very thoughtful. They could have gone cheap with a plastic clip seatbelt, but they put a real one on there. It is also very nice that there is a button to disengage the armrests and fold them up. There is a reflective stripe on the back and, I haven't used it yet, but a light up red LED safety strip on the back as well. This thing is so easy to pick up. The material cut outs in the back rest mean that someone that can grab the back of the chair easily if they need to roll it, which you can do by putting it in the free wheel mode. It came with a heavy duty bike cable lock, but unfortunately it's a combination lock and I couldn't find a combination anywhere. There is a hidden pocket on the back of the seat back and that is where you will find your owner's manual. This was made for easy-going surfaces. You would need a bigger back wheel and bigger motors to go up a steep hill, but it's great for everything else. I'm impressed. I will come back in a few years and let you know how it's holding up, but I am feeling pretty optimistic. Finally, it's pretty attractive for what it is. Nice looking wheels. Nice looking lines on the carbon fiber part of the frame. buying something like this online is a bit nerve-racking, because you don't get to see it, but there was a 30 day return and I thought it was worth the risk. The original controller handle, which was just fine, has been replaced with a 3-D printed controller. ... show more

I bought this chair for its lightweight properties to make it easier to load and unload in our car. It is incredibly easy to fold and load/unload! The carbon fiber frame is sturdy and very well put together - very well engineered. I loved the contoured cushions, which made it exceptionally comfortable. I found the power to be sufficient, but not quite enough for my relatively large frame, so I requested a return to try a different Aotedor model more suited to my needs. I never even considered buying another brand since I find Aotedor second to none in the motorized folding wheelchair field. Aotedor customer service was very accommodating and immediately arranged my return (at no cost to me) and refunded the full price as soon as my chair arrived back to them. The chair is amazing and gives me freedom to do what I want. Very comfortable and easy to use. Not 5 stars because we've had some electrical issues however they quickly sent the new parts and it's working again. We are very hopeful for successful long term use.

1. I received a defective battery when they delivered the package. They replaced it without any controversy. 2. Because of my infirmity, the velcro straps holding the seat cushion ripped. This was my fault and I offered to pay for a replacement straps and cushion. They sent me both at no cost. I was very impressed with that. These are good people that make these. ... show more

This is a solid product however the battery life is substantially less than advertised. I called the support line and didn't get very far. One of the batteries also has less distance than the other. Good product but I have to mark it down due to the batteries. Additional batteries are available for $300! ... show more

The wheelchair is as advertised. We were on a cruise and Aotedor came highly recommended by a passenger who was using one. My husband opted for the carbon fiber model and were happy with it. If the chair has one shortcoming it's the manual. It is deficient. However, customer service is very responsive and bends over backwards to make sure you're happy. We also wish Aotedor offered a video about the joystick and the control panel so we knew the extent to which the battery is charged. It's a little confusing. However, the chair is easy to maneuver even in the house. Unlike many of its competitors, Aotedor comes with 2 batteries which are fairly compact. We bought fire proof battery bags to hold them. The joystick is responsive and the speed adjustments are great. The turning radius is excellent. Despite these positives, it's not good on grass and curbs present a problem but that would true with any wheelchair of it's type. All in all, it's very good value for the money. This wheelchair is well constructed, has excellent battery life. However it is difficult to control. Unfortunately this defect is enough for me to reduce my rating from 5 stars to just 1 star.
