I purchased this remote for my Canon camera. Make sure you check the description to ensure your camera model is listed there. I did and so happy I got this! It works beautifully!!! Setup on my camera only took a couple minutes and I was snapping photos of myself like a professional! No more fussing at my hubby about getting my shots right! It’s small enough to be hidden in my hand so it’s very discreet and the main button has a nice feel to it so you know exactly where it is without looking at it. I need to familiarize myself with some of the other features, but so far, I’m in love and highly recommend!

This remote is exactly like the canon brand remote at a lesser price. It works perfectly providing you make the necessary settings in the camera.(M50) Two settings must be enabled in the camera menu system for it to work. One is to enable blutooth and the other is to enable remote. There are a few instructional youtubes on the subject but be aware I ran across one particular youtuber that did not mention one of the settings therefore the remote will not work. Just because they put up a video doesn't mean these clowns know what they are talking about.

I was shooting water drops and using the Canon Connect app on my phone to trigger high-speed continuous shots on the EOS M50. While this procedure works, I thought it would be better to have a trigger with a more tactile button and perhaps even more hand-holdable. So, I ordered one of the only two available Bluetooth remotes for newer Canon cameras (the other being the actual Canon branded remote). This Aodelan remote works okay, even if the setup is a bit cryptic, and functions presumably as it should. There is one serious flaw that prompted me to return it, and it isn't even necessarily a flaw in the remote. This thing only works with the camera in a single drive setting: "Self-timer:10sec/remote". That's it. And "Self-timer:10sec/remote" is a single-shot setting. The remote does not trigger the shutter with with any other drive setting - continuous or otherwise. Again, this does not seem to be a flaw of the remote itself but appears to be more of a ridiculous limitation in the camera's firmware (of which I will certainly be writing an email to Canon about). Unfortunately, this limitation to a single drive setting makes this remote pretty useless and did result in a return. I also assume that the real Canon remote works exactly the same way, so that's not an option either. The Canon Connect app - however clunky and fidgety it is - at least triggers the shutter in all drive modes including high-speed continuous as well as providing other useful settings (but it's a phone battery hog - have a charger ready).

I can't use it to trigger whatever the machinegun, full-auto mode is on my camera is called. This is not an issue 99% of the time, but when I was trying to get a specific shot during the latest eclipse with a zoom lens on a tripod, I really wish it worked for that. I had to lower the f stop since physically pushing the button shook the camera ever so slightly, causing some blur on the first shot of the burst. Other than that, it works great. It does work via IR, not Bluetooth, so line of sight to the camera is required. This one specific case is the only issue I've had with this remote and I don't think it's enough to dock a star.
