Purchased the "8" gun size - Although this cabinet is not a "fireproof safe" it is exactly what I needed it to be as child-safe storage. Lockable storage with additional locking "box" inside with plenty of room for rifles. Fast shipping and very well packaged to prevent damage in transit. Pistol holders on inside of door are a nice bonus - holds full size .45 & smaller .380 with no issues. Room for improvement: There is plenty of room for the pistol holders on the inside of the door -- why not stick a couple more on there? The tiny LED light that is included is really not functional as a light but it was a bonus feature so not a big deal for me. This is not a high security safe. It will hold shotguns or rifles, a few pistols and ammo. The cabinet is really thin metal and not of the quality of heavy duty safe but it should keep out kids and intruders. Can be screwed to the floor or wall for more security. Could be mounted in a closet out of the way. Electronic lock makes it easy to access quickly and inside has a small locker with key lock. Good for keeping small valuables like jewelry or camera or extra cash. Not fireproof. If you have kids you should have your guns locked in a safe place and some states require it by law. ... show more

This is a nice safe overall. Build quality is pretty good..... except for the actual key pad. It could secure better but it just has some flimsy tabs that hold it in. Really easy to use and set up. Takes AA batteries. Has a backup power bank that can be plugged into the key bad when you pop it off. Has key entry behind the pad as well. Also has a secondary locking compartment. This is NOT a fire safe. It is simply sheet metal. Overall I am pleased with this product just could use a couple improvements but this a great entry level ... show more
