Definitely a value for the money-as a family doc-I sure wish I’d had this in my office when I was in practice. Many uses as a portable camera. Just follow the manufacturer instructions. Photos of camera subject can be saved in the app made into a PDF and then can be exported to an email. I will recommend this to parents of small children in my family for sure.

Very good idea. I found that it was a little hard being able to fit the scope in my 11month olds ear as it didn't quite get to the eardrum. The picture is clear and it's nice that it comes with adapters for both andriod and apple users. Very bright light.

I can't remember the last time my primary care physician used an autoscope on me . So I purchased this item and I found it very easy to use it synced up with my phone quite easily and now I have video of my nasal passages and ear canals to show to my lazy physician . And for the price less than $30 this is a great deal not only do I use it on my body but I've also used it to read part numbers a vehicle where I could not get a visual line of sight I've also used it to look inside of walls to locate pipes and wires before cutting this is a very useful tool and I may consider buying more in the future .

There is a saying among ear doctors, "Do not insert anything smaller than your elbow into your ear - and only your own elbow!") I knew I had a lot of cerumen (ear wax). As a retired otolaryngologist, I wanted to remove it myself by irrigation. My wife had no idea what she was looking at when I asked her to look with an otoscope. I purchased this device so that I could monitor whether I had removed all the cerumen. It works great! Once one has the iPhone app, the camera connects without a problem. Before looking in one's ear, check the orientation of the camera (up and down). The included specula make it quite safe to insert into one's ear canal without pushing it too far inside. Some others on Amazon don't include specula. The picture is not the clearest possible, but it is quite good and is certainly very adequate for examining one's own ear. Provided you use the speculum, it should be safe for most people to use. However, I advise you NOT to use the attachments to scrape out the cerumen. The price is right.
