We purchased our Anycubic Kobra 3 Max Combo from Amazon back in late May/early June, and while it hasn’t been a perfectly smooth ride, the experience has been outstanding—thanks to both the printer itself and Anycubic’s customer service. The first couple of prints went beautifully, but then we ran into some issues (entirely user error!). We didn’t have the tubes loose enough, which caused the print head to get knocked out of alignment and dig into the plate—completely ruining it. We reached out to Anycubic support, and they patiently troubleshot with us, then sent a replacement print head and plate. After installing those, one of the motors froze up from plate shavings that had gotten in during the earlier mishap. Again, support was quick to respond and immediately sent us two brand-new motors. Now, the machine is running perfectly, and we couldn’t be happier. Honestly, my husband was ready to give up and return the printer altogether, but the top-notch support team won us over. Their responsiveness and willingness to stand behind their product gave us the confidence to stick with it—and we’re so glad we did. In fact, we were so impressed that we just bought a second Kobra 3 Max Combo during Anycubic’s Labor Day 10th anniversary sale! This printer is a fantastic machine once it’s dialed in, and the customer service alone makes it worth the investment. Highly recommend!

I was really excited to get my hands on the Anycubic Kobra 3 Max, hoping for a reliable large-format 3D printer that could handle bigger projects without breaking the bank. Unfortunately, this machine has been nothing but a headache from day one. Let me break down the issues I've encountered. First and foremost, the print quality is abysmal. No matter how much I calibrated the bed, adjusted the nozzle temperature, or tinkered with the settings in Cura, the prints came out with severe layer shifts, stringing, and warping. Even simple models like a basic cube ended up looking like they were melted in a microwave. The auto-leveling system, which is supposed to be a selling point, failed repeatedly – it would probe the bed unevenly, leading to inconsistent adhesion. I wasted so much filament trying to get a decent print, and half the time, the first layer wouldn't stick properly, causing the whole thing to fail midway. Beyond print quality, there were other frustrating problems. The assembly instructions were vague and poorly translated, making setup take twice as long as it should have. Once running, the printer is incredibly noisy – the fans sound like a jet engine, and it's impossible to have it in the same room while working. The touchscreen interface is laggy and unresponsive at times, freezing up during operations. I also had issues with the filament runout sensor; it triggered falsely multiple times, pausing prints unnecessarily. And don't get me started on the build quality – the frame feels flimsy for such a large printer, and one of the belts came loose after just a few hours of use. Customer support from Anycubic was another letdown. I reached out via email about the print issues, and their response was generic troubleshooting steps I'd already tried. No real help or replacement offered. Overall, this printer feels like a rushed product that's not ready for prime time. If you're looking for a large 3D printer, save your money and go with a more established brand like Creality or Prusa. I regret this purchase and will be returning it.

Overall, this printer has met my expectations. It worked great right out of the box. It has it's issues, but for the hobby of 3D printing, you're going to have to put in some effort and expect things to happen eventually. The 1st thing after assembling it is, make sure to follow tis instructions and update the firmware for both the printer and the ACE. The first items I printed were in PLA then PETG then ABS and back to PLA. Then I got a clog. Umph, well upon investigating the issue, I found the PTFE tube inside the heat throat had pulled loose, took it apart and cleaned it, reseated it and it clogged again. So I found the nozzles in copper without the PTFE tubing and ordered those. Issue solved, I would almost order the upgraded nozzle along with the printer and set it up before starting, you'd have no issues afterwards. Once I started using the upgraded nozzle, I have printed hundreds if not thousands of models without issues. It's a complicated beast and takes up alot of space but it works great. I make alot of stuff to fix things that are broken and use my own designs to make parts for things, I use PETG and ABS at the higher temps, this printer works great for that. I've printed items that take almost the entire plate and go as high as 480mm, it took more than a day but came out perfect. It's not as fast as I thought it would be, but it does the job and is faster than my other 2 3D printers. It has a large build platform and the ACE takes space, make sure to get a sturdy table to put it on, it shakes and shimmies. It's a great printer at the price point and does a good job.

Updated review: If you read lower half... I'll start by saying that the customer service has been there. There is a latency on responding do to the difference in time and location. I have 3 of these at my disposal. This one has been hell on me. It decided to run the nozzle into the bed after doing an auto level. Among waiting 2 weeks on parts to try and get a good print out of the unit. I have worked on this thing more than it has printed. In disclosure, im not a rookie when it comes to printing. Unit is very inconsistent when doing the same print over and over. Yes it has the capability to print up to 8 colors with the correct units(2 ace pro) or 4 colors(1 ace pro), or 1 color if pulling from a spool on the single spool holder. Lack of ability to do a true wipe between colors may be the ultimate culprit in color bleed on prints. Doesn't matter how much you purge. Had higher hopes as my other 2 kobra 3 max units do ok for what they are. Bought 2 kobra 3 combos to test out as well. We will see. The inconsistent prints from this particular unit is just ungodly. For reference i used 4 different types of filament each time doing test squares for single layer adhesion and pressure test as well as doing tempature towers for each filament to ensure I was getting the filament dialed in. Still very inconsistent. Latest thing to happen was cover fell off fell under plate and now has broken the retaining tab when build plate ran it over. Will probably be sending this unit back as a result of it being a bad unit. UPDATE AS FOLLOWS: Anycubic has followed through consistently with great customer service for me. Making all efforts to ensure I'm satisfied with my purchase. Please keep in mind they are not right around the corner and messages are on a small delay as they are in a different time zone, for me at least. Machine has been printing better prints since the new parts. If you've ever gotten a Monday or a Friday car, you'll understand not every part can be perfect every time. Thanks Anycubic for the unwavering support so far... I will try to remember to update as time goes by.

I dont leave reviews often but I hope this will be able to help someone. Bought this machine in September and have only had issues since. I've always only used anycubic because I love the build volume and I was excited about upgrading from my Anycubic Kobra Max 2. For about a month it worked great then issues started to show up as soon as I updated the firmware. Practically right once the return window closed. First issue was the homing wouldn't work and then it would try to run off the x axis track causing it to try to break itself and jam. I thought maybe it was the firmware and attempted to reset which was nearly impossible to do/find how to do. Factory reset the machine as well, did not work. I tried to diagnose the issue even to the point of buying a replacement print head (for an additonal issue of clogging and hoping that it would fix the homing issue). The next issue was that the machine would not go back to home when you extract the filament and then try to run off the track again. After that it started to not go back to home if you wanted to print something again without manually moving the print head and bed back to start. If you manually move it back each time it knows where to start. Which has been so frustrating trying to figure out what is wrong! Now im thinking that it may be the x axis cable or motor, im not sure. Cable was unplugged and plugged in again, doesnt seem to be damaged unless I move the whole machine around which is incredibly heavy and im gonna need help to reach it at all. I dont like the fact that compared to the 2 its hard to get at anything to tweak or repair. It's covered in mostly a plastic shell. I have the 2 with over 300 hours in printing and have been able to repair it with ease. This one, its like a daunting task to fix anything. While the auto leveling at first was wonderful sometimes its an issue as I cannot edit the z axis while printing. Not a huge issue but its annoying. The good, I do like the print quality. Its quieter and smoother when it does work. I really want to like this machine. I love anycubic products and want to keep using them but im frustrated at how this one is preforming so far and honestly at this point I wish I could return it.

printer,it's big and big enough to do a full size helmet in a single print. The x axis was off but with work through anycubic we were able to do several things and finally get it to print multiple colors without the layers shifting. Anycubic was very helpful, however their warranty dept is in England and China so shipping took some time to get parts to the US but overall if you are doing single color there wouldn't be a problem. After owning this for a couple of months and it having so many issues I requested a refund due to it never working for a long enough time to do anything of value and Anycubic sending parts from china which made it so I was over the 30 day Amazon return period. Anycubic refused to let me return it so I contacted Amazon and explained all the issues I had and how they would send replacement parts form china which took all the time in the 30day return process so I could not do it in their time frame so Amazon took care of it and did the return anyway I would not recommend until the print head is redesigned for ease of maintenance and to reduce clogging

Great printer. Multicolor printing works well. Huge build volume and quick. Anycubic support is also by far, the best support I’ve dealt with. I had small problem and they were not only helpful, but also responded to messages quickly and with clarity. I also own the Kobra 2 max. Would definitely recommend both printers.
