This light fixture was (thankfully) larger than I expected since it was getting installed in the kitchen. It was a very quick and easy assembly and installation, total time around 20 minutes and that included pulling down the old light. A big bonus was the L-shaped notch in the base as opposed to a hole you have try to line up. You just slide the L-notch up on to the mount screw, then twist and tighten the screws. When we turned it on spread the light out around the kitchen far better than our previous single bulb fixture. We were concerned the 40w max bulb wouldn't be enough but that is a non-issue, it definitely provides lots of light. Our only cons: -When attaching the arms, it is easy to get them cross-threaded or for the wire that runs through it to bind up, you can't be in a hurry screwing them in--we had to restart a couple of them more than once. -The mounting hardware should be a black screw so that it blends w/ the mounting base because it shows pretty well Would I recommend it? MY APPLICATION: Laundry Room PROS: Brighter than expected. Easy to install. Pro Tip: To prevent cross-threading of the arms, press the male threaded end of the pipe against the female threaded end and twist counter-clockwise about a half turn to get the threads seated, then slowly twist clockwise. CONS: The ground wire is attached to the mounting bracket. So, if you aren’t going to use the included bracket (which you should use), make certain to add a ground wire. I really like the design of this light fitting and it creates a nice light in the room, my only complaint is I think for the price the overall quality is a bit lacking but maybe I’m being too picky? It fits together well enough and was easy to install and overall I like the fitting.

I got this for our complex's shared carport, to provide more light since it is on a dark alleyway. Had the landlord do the installation. He said the instructions we easy to understand and follow. Installation was very easy. Took all of 30 minutes. All he needed was a Phillips screwdriver. Came with screws and wire caps. He and I agree, would buy again.
