I give the chair with the backrest 2 stars. Chair without the backrest 5 stars. I was not able to review separate. I have used these chairs for a few months. I am a dental hygienist. I looked at a lot of reviews looking for other medical professionals that have used these products, not a lot available for reviews. I prefer the no backrest saddle chair over the saddle stool chair with the backrest. The no backrest saddle chair’s pad is more comfortable and not as hard on the tail bone as the saddle stool with the backrest. The backrest stool is very firm and has very little padding. Makes my reared soar at end of the day. This chair with no backrest is designed wider, with a more gradual curve between the legs, the seams are more flush with the chair but protrude a little bit, the saddle horn area is smaller and has less curve for more comfort. The chair with the backrest the seams dig into my legs and feel as if I am sitting on a ledge at the end of 9hour shift. Both chairs I find I am forced to sit straight and hold my posture better. Both are very stable, however you have to hold the chair when sitting down or standing up to prevent it rolling away. The casters are very smooth rolling on the floors and the height will adjust easily. It was very easy to put together and looks like an expensive chair around the other medical equipment. It is easy to disinfect and has not faded with the cavi wipes yet. I highly recommend the chair without the backrest, as it does not hurt my legs or rear end the way the saddle stool chair with the backrest does. I wish I had two of the no backrest chair and not the one with the backrest because this chair is easier to be comfortable sitting on for 9 hours a day. Also, when practicing I am able to navigate around the patients easier and able to get closer without intruding on their bubble or needing to slide my legs under the patient chair. Keeping my hips better aligned for posture. Highly recommended. I was surprised to find the saddle stool with the backrest has a different saddle design. See pictures. I am 5’3” and female, the Dr tried to sit on it that was 6’ and was very uncomfortable. The other Dr 5’8” smaller body build was uncomfortable as well. Seemed the chairs are both too small for the men I work with. The backrest is removable on the chair however it was the design of the hardness's and sharper curvature that made the chair with backrest uncomfortable after a long day. ... show more

I bought this because of so many great reviews on this product. This is a great chair. Very well made and rolls so easily. It basically glides around 😄 it was so easy to put together I tried to check to make sure it was as easy as it was. I figured there had to be more to it. But no. It was just easy. This is all so comfy and I haven’t even broken it in yet. It slightly large. Not in a bad way. I like that I don’t feel like I’m riding a bike. It also adjusts very easily. This is a great little stool. The wheels on it are awesome. It was just way too squeaky when I sat on it and moved around. I got it for my makeup table, so you move around a bit. Any time I moved, reached, etc the seat squeaked. Just bothered my too much. The other thing was one of the screws was defective. Kind of pulled out of the base. Couldn’t screw it in as tightly. As soon as I put it together and sat on it at my work-at-home desk, I immediately thought I would love it. I always slouch in my regular office chair causing a tight low back, tight shoulders, and tight neck. The saddle chair corrects your posture from your butt up to your neck. The seat padding is comfortable. The shape of the seat pan is perfect for me (I'm average-sized 5'7" woman). The rubber casters are high quality. When you get it out of the box, the backrest is set all the way forward leaving no room to sit, so you must adjust the backrest even get in it. To adjust the backrest, you must pull up the lock lever, adjust the backrest forward or back to your liking, then push down the lock lever. Update: after a few days of using this chair, I realize that I can only sit in it for a couple hours at a time before my sit bones need a break. I want to sit in it all day because it does align your posture, but my butt just can't handle a full workday in it. I'm going to look into kneeling chairs. ... show more

Update: I needed to speak with the seller. The customer service was very good. We recommend this seller and look forward to ordering from them in the future. We do recommend. I decided to goof around and scoot across the floor. I accidentally went so fast I put a dent in the refrigerator. I have spine issues and hip issues. Now I can scoot all around the house hands free. Awesome! I can do more now with less pain. Really love this purchase. Nice looking base. Looks like polished aluminum. Not sure what it is but it looks nice in person. ~Do Recommend~ Update: I'm disabled and I scoot around the house in this. I was goofing off and being to rough with it. I ended up breaking one of the wheels. I weigh 250 lbs and I was flying around like an F1 driver and I broke a wheel two days ago and they are already being delivered right now. Super. Love this so much. Of note: I'm a woman. My son in his 20's was playing around on it. He said it's not very comfortable for his man parts..just an fyi. ... show more

If I were a smaller person, I might like this chair. The leather was nice and soft and it seemed to roll nice. However, as someone with junk in their trunk this didn’t work for me. The back rest sits so far forward into the middle of the seat that I had to lean it all the way back just to have room to sit. Didn’t feel comfortable to sit in. ... show more

I suffer from lower back pain, which is generally aggravated by working at my desk (despite the fact that I have a very expensive, lumbar supporting office chair). I've only been using this saddle stool for 3 days, and already my back feels better than it has in a long time.
