Purchased this mic in May and after using it about 10 or 15 times it has quit working. The PC detects it, but it does not receive any audio. I have performed all of the recommended troubleshooting that the manufacturer recommends. I have an open case with support. Hopefully they will repair or replace it. Update: The warranty department was very helpful in diagnosing and eventually replacing the defective unit. The new mic works great, we will see if it lasts more than a few months this time. Just a word of caution, the warranty only covers this product if it was purchased from an "authorized reseller". Amazon is on the list of authorized resellers, but if you happen to purchase through Amazon from a different reseller, then they may not honor the warranty. This was my situation, but they provided warranty service anyway. They get an extra star for this.

So overall, I'm happy with this mic. I wanted something universal so that I can use any pair of open back headphones that I wanted and attach a mic to them. The overall sound quality is great. People on Discord have told me I come in very clear and that's the best that I could ask for as far as sound quality goes. I don't do video streaming so I can't comment on the quality of it. My main complaint is that $70 seems very high for what you get. A basic USB mic with magnetic clips that are expensive to replace. The cord is a bit short of what I needed and I had to add an extension usb cable to it. Most people will be fine with the 4 foot cable, but in the case of my current setup as of (2020-06-30), I needed 6 feet so a 2 foot usb extension did the job. The clips work, but you still have two cables running down one side, or a v neck if you put the mic on the opposite side of the headphones. The best solution is to basically wrap the majority of the cable using electrical tape or nylon wrap, making on big fat cable. Overall, if this mic was around the $40-$50 mark, I would give it 5 stars for bang for the buck, but what you get is priced pretty high. If you're at a desk, I would spring the extra $20 for a decent desktop standing mic and avoid the extra hanging cable all together. If you're on the couch and cables extend to some kind of front side usb ports, then this thing may be worth the cost.

Examples of how this mic sounds in review videos are way, way better quality than the actual sound you'll get from the mic but it can still beat out alternative mics like Blue Yeti if you don't want something taking up space on your desk. The real problem, though, is that the anchor used to mount the mic to your headphones is a piece of crap. It takes a few months and daily use but eventually the anchor actually begins to split in half, causing the mic to loosen on your head, which is a major drag. This just comes down to the fact the anchor is plastic and not something more durable. It'll still stick to your headphones and keep the mic anchored but I dunno how much longer mine is gonna stay in place. Just a shame cuz otherwise this would be a 5-star product for me.

I had this product that stopped working due to a wire strain, and they were quick to help and replace the product. Be mindful when setting up the wire clamps (giving it leeway space) so it does not strain the wire right below the hard handle area.

The mic itself when it was working was doing pretty good. I had a small problem where occasionally the cord would cause the mic to rotate on the magnet mount and flip up and away from my face. But overall it worked fine, but the problem is the cord has a habit of breaking. I now had two of these which broke. It's way too fragile. For $80-90 it's way too expensive for how easily it breaks.

I got this because my old Modmic died after about 4 years. Only difference is my old one wasn't the USB model. This one seems to work well, and nobody on Discord has complained, so I'm happy. I just got this for casual gaming. I don't do streaming or otherwise use it for anything fancy. For what it's worth, I've also used this for online meetings at work (using Microsoft Teams), and people in the meetings all said I sounded fine. USPS screwed up on the delivery. 3 days late, and the package came with a small hole that apparently punched through the bubble mailer and box. But the mic itself comes in a small case that's inside the box, and that wasn't damaged, so I think maybe the bubble envelope + box took most of whatever the hit was and protected the mic itself. I was mildly annoyed because I didn't have the mic in time for my usual game night (which is when it was supposed to get here), but the mic itself seems to work fine, so I'm not going to give it a lower rating because of that.
