This makes a hard kayak seat much more comfy. I like that it is easy to pop in and out, and squishes up nicely into a backpack to carry to/from the water. It's enough of a cushion to extend comfort time out on the water significantly.

Love the material. It is very comfortable to sit on, but...it's not something you can leave in your kayak all the time. There is no adhesive of any kind - at least...I don't think there is. It comes with 2 clear rubbery pads but I'm not sure what they are for. Like a lot of MADE IN YOU KNOW WHERE products, there is no manual or product documentation at all. The seat comes with a carrying bag and 2 pieces of clear rubber with no explanation of what they are or how to use them. I tried putting hem on the kayak and I think they may have helped the seat not slide, but I think it would have behaved the same without them so...who knows.

I've tried a couple kayak seat cushions and not found them to be terribly comfortable. This cushion is super soft, and the honeycomb design is one I've seen used in other well-liked cushions, so I decided to give it a try. My first observation was that it's a good bit thicker than I anticipated. But that's okay, because it has a lot of give when I sit on it. I've only tried it for short periods so far, and my initial reaction is positive. It fits nicely on my seat area and doesn't slide around. I've tried it both with the cover on and off, and honestly I'm not sure which I prefer. Both are viable ways to use the cushion. I does seem more comfortable, though the ultimate will come next season when it warms up and I'm back to doing multi-hour paddles. The only reason I've given it four stars rather than five is the the higher seating position from its thickness could harm my balance a bit, given that my kayak is fairly can be tippy at times. If you use a super stable recreation kayak, that wouldn't even come in to play, I think. The orange color is a bonus for me, as it matches the accent color on my kayak. Not a big deal, but just a nice addition.

I don’t own my own boat, but frequently rent or borrow kayaks and canoes. The seats can be muddy, wet, cold, and hard, and this pad is a nice way to tackle all those things. Inside the package, I found the orange honeycomb pad already in its black cover, but also a waterproof carrying case and two transparent, rectangular, reuseable, sticky gel pads (one large: 3”x 2.5”; one small: 1-1/2” x 1-1/4”). Unable to run out and throw it in a boat, I tested sitting on it in my office chair and on the hardwood floor. With the cover on, it’s not so firm that I can feel the honeycomb design, but not so soft that it completely flattens under my weight (around 135lbs). Without the cover, I’m sure it would leave an imprint on bare skin. I like the support it provides. Using the hardwood floor to test its slip-resistance showed that it was difficult to slide, even though the non-slip silicone grips on the cover are about the size of pin heads. I’m at a loss as to the purpose of the gel sticky mats and why there are two of different sizes – I’m not sure how they would work with the cushion if that is their purpose, but I have used similar things to affix my phone to the car dashboard, so maybe they are just an unrelated “free gift” item. Overall, I’m impressed and pleased with this cushion and look forward to using it on my next boating trip.

I liked this seat cushion right away and it has become my new standard for seat comfort. The holes keep it well ventilated and gives the material some room to give way in pressure points. I can sit on this for hours without bottoming out and feeling uncomfortable. Outside of it's case, the rubber material doesn't hold any moisture so there is no swampy feeling from wetness and odors. I can't say enough good about how comfortable it is for long sits. Really has made time in the canoe and hunting stand more enjoyable because of how comfy it is. I highly recommend this cushion and would use it in plenty of situations beyond just my canoe and hunting blind. You won't be disappointed, this is a fantastic find.
