Description

The Antennas Direct ClearStream 1MAX indoor / outdoor HDTV antenna uses our patented single-loop element to receive TV signals 40+ miles from broadcast towers and requires minimal assembly with quick-connect parts. Our MAX family of antennas offer the strongest performance in the most compact designs. This multi-directional antenna receives UHF and Hi-VHF broadcast television signals from the front and back and has a wide 60-degree beam angle, so you reliably receive more channels in crystal-clear HD straight from the networks, even if your broadcast towers are spread out. Ideal for urban and suburban areas where obstructions like buildings or trees between your antenna and the towers can interfere with reception. Features a convenient keyhole for hanging on a wall and the included all-weather adjustable mounting hardware allows you to install the antenna on an existing mast outdoors or in an attic. Coaxial cable and mast sold separately. If you had cable or satellite installed before, the coaxial cable needed to distribute signal throughout your home may already be installed – simply connect the ClearStream 1MAX to the existing coaxial cable to start receiving free local channels. Find your TV channels and towers on our website or using our free Antenna Point app on android or iOS devices. • Amazing antenna
Style: 60 Mile
I wanted to replace an old yagi that's outside on my roof, with something hidden inside the attic instead. This is one of the best antennas tested by AntennaMan on YouTube. Decided to pull the trigger, was a bit nervous when signals weren't great testing inside the house next to my TV. Mounted it in the attic and holy cow, I'm picking up every single channel advertised for my area. CBS and Fox can be tricky to get here, but both are well within acceptable signal levels. It's so cheap I'm not even going to bother with a splitter and the signal loss it would introduce, I'm just going to get another one for the bedroom. Phenomenal. ... show more

  • Clearstream 2max
Style: 60 Mile
Antenna works ok. Have it in living room so no idea how reception is outside. Base for putting on table is cheap. Took a star off for having to jury-rig so antenna would stay standing when cable attached.

  • 74 Channels! Incredible!!
Style: 60 Mile
Yes, 74 channels with the ClearStream 2Max indoor antenna. After ten minutes hooking it up and setting it on high shelf near a window in my bedroom, I ran a channel scan on the TV and found 74. Of course, I knew they couldn't all be watchable quality, so I clicked through looking for bad or marginal reception, but to my amazement, they were all excellent, with no noisy or distorted images. I would never watch at least half of them, but now I can choose, and now a couple of channels I really wanted are available to me day and night and perfect. ... show more

  • Mixed Results in a Condominium Setting
Style: 60 Mile
I recently tried out the 2MAX Indoor Outdoor TV Antenna in an attempt to cut the cord and embrace a more cost-effective TV viewing experience. While the antenna does deliver on some fronts, my experience has been a mix of satisfaction and frustration. Firstly, the 2MAX antenna boasts solid performance when it comes to capturing a variety of channels. The build quality is commendable, and its adaptability for both indoor and outdoor use makes it a versatile choice. However, it's important to note that the antenna struggles with certain channels for me, particularly ABC. Despite its claims of providing access to a broad spectrum of channels, ABC consistently eluded the antenna's capabilities. Additionally, tuning into CBS with the 2MAX antenna proved to be a bit of a challenge. While it does capture CBS channels, I found that the antenna needs to be positioned just right to maintain a stable signal. This aspect becomes particularly sensitive in a condominium setting, where factors like interference from neighboring structures and the overall elevation of the unit can impact reception. Living on the second floor of a condominium seems to have influenced the antenna's performance. While it managed to pull in signals for most channels, the challenges with ABC and CBS became more pronounced. It's worth considering the potential impact of your specific living situation on the antenna's effectiveness. The 2MAX Indoor Outdoor TV Antenna is a decent option for those looking to cut the cord, especially in an indoor setting like a condominium. It performs well with most channels, but the issues with ABC and CBS, along with the need for precise positioning, might be significant drawbacks depending on your viewing preferences and living situation. Consider these factors carefully before making a decision, and be prepared for a potential compromise in channel accessibility, especially if you're in a multi-unit dwelling. ... show more

  • Great unit!
Style: 60 Mile
It seems to work perfectly for what we need. We get a clear picture in every room. I can't speak to the installation because my hubby did that. But, he didn't complain about it so I'm assuming it was fine. :-)

  • This thing actually works (much to my surprise)
Style: 60 Mile
This replaced one of those flat-plate antennas. Our local CBS affiliate moved it's high-power signal to UHF and NextGen TV (which few sets can receive). Their ATSC 1.0 signal is on VHF and only sends 2000 watts. I was totally unable to watch CBS. I put this up in place of that plate, duct-taping it to the window. I didn't have much hope, but indeed it now gets CBS very solid! It's performance is also much better on the UHF signals. Downside: It's "indoor" mounting foot isn't worth much (thus the duct tape). I have no opinion on the outdoor hardware. It is big and ugly, but antennas tend to be that way. ... show more
