  • Very nice with only small flaws.
Style: NE500G Zen
This has been an excellent PSU so far. I did have to go to Antec's web site to see the number of connectors at the time I purchased, though. For reference: 1 x 24-pin (20+4) ATX connector, 1 x 8-pin (4+4) CPU/EPS connector, 2 x 8 pin (6+2) PCI-E connectors, 6 SATA, and 2 Molex. One minor issue I found was the way the multi-part connectors joined up. On a cheap old PSU I have, the two pieces would clip together in a way that they stayed together during installation. On this one, they just sort of fit together loosely, so you have to hold them together as you insert them. That applies to the ATX, CPU, and PCI-E connectors. Most of the cables were plenty long. The ATX was a bit tight routing behind the MB the way my case intends, and that contributed to the difficulty holding the two pieces of the connector together for insertion. Even with the PSU at the bottom of the case, the CPU cables were plenty long enough to route behind the MB to the top of the case where the MB connectors are. However, the SATA cables are where another minor problem shows up. Apparently this design is held over from top mount PSUs because of the way the SATA power connectors are orientated. I'm going to call the connector closest to the PSU the first and the one farthest from the PSU the last. When the first SATA connector is attached to a drive, the cable going to the second points down. The first one doesn't reach the top drive bays of my case, but if they had been flipped around to route "upward," the last one on the cable would have been able to reach just fine. Since I wanted to mount my HDD/SSD near the middle for best airflow over them, I was able to make the cable reach those, but had to use an extension to reach the optical drives at the top of the case. I love that this PSU is completely silent! I'm not stressing it with a high power CPU and multiple GPUs, so the fan never comes on, or if it does, I can't hear it at all. ... show more

  • It's Antec, It works.
Style: NE500G Zen
Previous psu was a thermaltake, big mistake as it lasted only a few months. It was the only choice at the time due to psu supply chain issues. So on this unit, for the 8 pin CPU, if you're looking at the shape of the little plugs on the connector -- don't. Some of them look different but I assure you it fits. Just make sure you don't plug the pci-e connector there. The one for the cpu is not labeled and is 4+4. In any case, old school pc repair guys like me know it's Antec or nothing. If the company is still quality, should last at least 3-5 years. You'll know it's dead when you hear a pop and smell chemical smoke. That or some of your components will run and some won't. With your purchase I recommend a psu tester, which can be acquired for around $15. ... show more

A great power supply to upgrade my aging Dell Inspiron 620 Desktop for a few more years of use.

  • Antec to the rescue
Style: NE500G Zen
I built a new PC rig recently. My old AMD PC used an Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU, and it still works after 9+ years so I stuck with Antec. I did some research, and decided to go with this versus an EVGA or Corsair. Corsair isn't bad either, but I wanted to stick with something that works. My Corsair is still working great after 5+ years. Years ago my PSU blew out my motherboard and I RMA'd the PSU. They sent me out another better PSU without hesitation which is why I chose this PSU. This isn't a modular PSU, so if your want a clean look regarding cable management then find one of those. I don't have an clear sided case, so it didn't matter much to me. I'm more function over form. Just ziptie those cables. The cable management isn't too bad with my case so this works for me. ... show more

  • Solid power supply
Style: NE600G Zen
When my 8-y/o Antec (had run 24/7) failed I ordered what looked like a better high efficiency power factor controlled modular supply from a competitor; installed it and - splat. It failed to power up the computer. So I removed it, put in a 12-y/o Antec from a previous chassis that worked fine until I could order another Antec! After fussing with modular connectors that required just the right facial expression to get them connected, I'm back to the good old bunch of wires that are connected to a reliable high efficiency power supply! ... show more

This PSU works great. I bought it seven months ago and I am satisfied. It was just a little noisy at the beginning but then it worked well. Thanks

  • Antec 750 power supply -- perfect
Style: NE700G Zen
It arrived a tad earlier than expected but that is not a complaint. Just saying. I love Antec products but don't see many anymore. Was glad to see this was available. It installed exactly as power supplies should. It is powering an Asus motherboard with quad core processor and Nvidia 750 video card and eight gigs ddr3 memory. Windows 10. Not the strongest but it gives the power needed to make person happy of whom I ordered it for. ... show more
