This is now the centerpiece of our basement remodel and our only source of heat. Very happy with look and quality. A contractor installed in the wall for us. He had to frame out a box to set it into. To be expected, we planned on this. Electrician recommended installing its own line with a breaker because using the heat does pull a lot of voltage. Blower for heat is very quiet. We have about 1000 Sq. Ft area to heat and if I put it on about an hour before going downstairs it is cozy even in 20 degree outside weather. Sure beats the $7k we were quoted for a ductless mini-split! At this rate I could run the fireplace all winter for 5+ yrs before my electric bill would even approach that price. Flame adjustment and choices are excellent. A lot of features for the price and we have been using it nonstop for 3 months with no issues. Very soothing flame effect and remote works fine, as long as you are within 5ft of the unit. ... show more

Have had this fireplace as a feature in our family room for several years. Works flawlessly and we LOVE it. Highly recommend it to one and all. Beautiful colors, nice range, brightness control allows muted or high energy, fantastic. The remote control stopped working recently but I popped it apart and used a scraper to clean off the on/off button where it completes the circuit on the control board and its now working like brand new! I love this thing! I would attach a photo of the “flames”, but they all look terrible compared to what it really looks like in person, so I’d rather just tell you. It looks VERY realistic. The combination of crystal and flame colors, size and speed is so fun to play around with according to my mood. The heat comes out of the front (not the top) which is great, but it’s not very intense. That’s ok, that’s not why I got it. Two small issues: the remote has a short range, so I have to get up and close to it for it to activate. And I thought I had read in the Q&A that it could be free-standing, but it is not.
