  • RETURNED: Design reduces claimed 1800 lumens to much less usable brightness
Color: White Size: 2Pack Square
I purchased a pair of this ‎LS-CL-I18W-M-C fixture for use in my laundry room, the smallest room in my house. This room has a pair of (three-way/pole) switches to control both lights on the 10-foot ceiling. The first problem I encountered was the slightly difficult installation due to the Annaror-provided 1) ceiling bracket and 2) wire connector. A bracket attaches the fixture to the ceiling/junction box. Other ceiling lights I have installed over the years use brackets that allow access to the junction box AFTER the bracket is attached. This makes it easier to pull down wires from the junction box and then to push the wires and connectors into the junction box for storage. Annaror's bracket seals off the junction box except for the small center hole (see photo). Therefore, I had to pull down the wires through the bracket's center hole BEFORE attaching the bracket, and then store the wires and connectors in the cavity of the fixture (see photo) rather than inside the junction box. Next, the (twist-type) connectors provided by Annaror have a small bore size meant for two Hot or two Neutral wires (one from the Line/house and one from the fixture) for a single-pole connection (fixture is controlled by only one wall switch). It's too small for two Line wires and a fixture wire, in other words. Because there are only two Ground wires, even in a three-way installation like mine, I used the small-bore Annaror connector to connect the Ground from the Line/house with the Ground of the fixture. For my Hot or Neutral three-wire connections (one from the first wall switch, one from the second wall switch, and one from the fixture), I do have larger-bore twist-type connectors. However, I opted for the better-gripping lever-type connectors (from left to right, the photo shows WAGO lever, Annaror twist, and larger-bore twist). The second, and larger, problem is that this LS-CL-I18W-M-C is dimmer than I expected. Not only is it dimmer than Annaror's other 18W/1800-lumen fixture (B09JNTBFN5), it is dimmer than my Anotek 15W/1500-lumen fixtures that have been in operation for over two years. Two different light meter apps on my phone show that LS-CL-I18W-M-C is measurably dimmer: Annaror 1800-lumen (IR): 4,500 and 7,600 lux Annaror 1800-lumen (MW): 6,100 and 10,600 lux Taloya 1800-lumen (IR): 7,500 and 12,300 lux Anotek(/Youtob) 1500-lumen (IR): 10,500 and 18,000 lux The first values are from one app and the second from the other; IR is infrared-activated and MW is microwave-activated. My understanding is that lumen, or luminous flux, is a measurement of how much light is generated at the source, while lux is a measurement of how much of that generated light falls on the surface where the lux measurement is taken. Because lux is influenced by distance and reflected surfaces in the room, I placed my phone's sensor at the center of each fixture's diffuser. The lux measurements above confirmed my visual impressions - both in how well the various surfaces were lit and in the presence (Taloya and Anotek) or absence (Annaror IR) of an afterimage. Annaror's provided clip is the first I've seen in a ceiling fixture. I imagine that it's include more as a helping hand in a single-person installation than as a safeguard to prevent the fixture from inadvertently separating from its bracket down the road. It was too short for my needs, so I still used a string as I always do in this type of install. What would be brilliant is a wiring module that is separate from the fixture. Rather than trying to make the fixture-to-house connections while holding the attached fixture, one would simply connect the house wires to the wiring module's bare wire ends and then snap the plug end into the fixture. This LS-CL-I18W-M-C does have an attractive aesthetic from the light that bleeds onto the ceiling, as can be seen in the images posted by others. This bleed is due to the use of the same translucent plastic as the diffuser but on the side of the fixture that attaches to the bracket. I would have much preferred an opaque upper casing to prevent the bleed. If that bleed had not come at the expense of usable lux, I would have been pleased to keep this product. Finally, I would have preferred, at worst, to have all three selectors (timer duration, sensor mode, and Kelvin) in one location and, at best, hidden. Currently, only the Kelvin selector is hidden in the cavity of the LS-CL-I18W-M-C. ... show more

  • No switches to worry about
Color: White Size: 1Pack Square
Installed this light assy. in our walk in bedroom closet and it works absolutely perfect. It is so nice to have the light come on in case you walk in with your hands full and you don't have to fumble around for the light switch. Love it.......

  • Great closet/garage light!
Color: White Size: 1Pack Square
Bought a 2nd one a month after the 1st and installed it in another closet. The sensor is great and I love the time settings. The only negative (sort of) is that it's hard to install in a shallow ceiling box. This is because the light housing is very shallow, which is a plus once it's in there. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Perfect closest light
Color: Black Size: 1Pack Square
Works great and installs very easily. I installed this in my walk-in closest to replace a chain light and this is exactly what I was looking for. Extremely bright light that turns on before the door is fully open.

  • Works great, reduce your electrical usage and add smart to your home
Color: White Size: 2Pack Square
Add some smart to your laundry area, closet or pantry and you will smile each time the light comes on and turns off automatically. As a tip: You can cover part of the sensor with white electrical tape if you would like to customize where motion can be detected and activate the light. This way a small laundry area can have its light come on only when you are right at the washer instead of just walking by. For closets of kids who never turn off their light it was a great solution. Any pantry without an automatic light is ready for this quick upgrade. ... show more
