I love my Empress. It is electronic and cuts well every time, even with dies that are less expensive. I have five die cutting machines, and this is by far the best. It is easy to use, you just feed the plates (that come with the machine) into the machine and it takes it from there. No more hand cranking. This is particularly nice for projects where you have a lot of cutting to do. It isn’t as small as most all of the hand cranking ones. It is on its own turntable which makes it quite functional. This machine does a great job of embossing & die cutting. The cuts ard clean, the extra pieces come out easily. Embossing is clear. The electric feed is quick & relatively smooth. It gives my arm a break! The turn table feature is nice, as I don't have to constantly rotate it. The only reason this got 4 stars instead of 5 is the heavy weight of the machine.
