I was looking for a waterproof speaker, primarily for use in the shower, and I saw this one amongst no-name brands. I have used other Anker products before and am reasonably assured of their quality. This speaker continues that. It is well made and with the rubberized outer case seems up to the task of taking the occasional tumble. That said, this kind of rubber coating I've seen before that over time without proper care and sun/heat exposure can degrade (get 'gummy'). As new, it's good and makes for a solid grip and I plan to treat it well (time will tell on how it endures). Sound-wise, I am somewhat impressed. Usually compact speakers are tinny highs and muddy mids and do poorly on the low end, but this one is not like that. The sound is bright without being tinny on the highs, has nice mellow mids that aren't muddy, and decent low end for the size. It doesn't reach to deep end lows like the dedicated sub I have in my car, but it gets low enough to hear a good beat. From my own testing, the cutoff seems to be about 80Hz (E2, lowest note on guitar), below which it quickly drops to inaudible by 50Hz (G1). Probably not meant for deep bass tracks. For the controls, I like the raised buttons on the top, making easy to find the right button without looking. The controls themselves are simple and straightforward - Power, Vol Dn, Play/Pause, Vol Up, BT Pairing. I did find a feature that is not documented, the ability to skip Forward by press Play 2x (quickly), and skip Backward by press Play 3x. I saw other reviewers saying they wish this had Fwd/Rev, but it actually does have it, just not documented. (I've noticed the 2x and 3x pattern in other BT devices so I tried it here and it worked!) Battery life is so far so good. I've had this for 3 days and have had it playing for several hours over that time and it still read 70%. I received it with 50% charge (typical) and it must support fast charging because after a little over an hour on my phone charger (USB-C) it was up to 100%. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. Getting it cheaper on AZ lightning discount was a plus. I might get a second while the promo is still on.

This portable speaker is worth its price! I'm using it with my new Amazon Fire 10.1 and the Bluetooth pairing was quick and easy. And this speaker delivers! Clear, loud sound that I don't have to turn up all the way for a satisfying listening experience and stays powered for hours and hours. To save power it will turn itself off too when not being used which is a great design feature. A nice travel case is also available as an accessory that I recommend purchasing. I tried other speakers. This is the one that's easy to use and the one that I chose. Thanks Anker.

There are so many cheap bluetooth speakers to choose from, so how did I decide on this one? I know Anker is a trusted, top quality brand. At first I thought the sound quality was horrendous, but it was just the settings on my tablet it was connected to. This speaker sounds outstanding! Impressive battery life! I bought this in May and I don't use it all that often but I am stunned that I just now have to charge it for the first time here at the end of July! The speaker that I was replacing was water resistant but it wasn't a requirement for my new one. I can confirm that this speaker is water resistant because on my first use, I accidentally knocked it into the water! I quickly got it out and the water had not impact- works flawlessly! If there were a con- I wish that there were forward and backward buttons. I didn't see many other speakers with this feature, so I had to settle with one without.

I have a couple of JBL's and both of them are getting older and not holding a charge. I decided to buy one of these and try the lower priced option. After reading some of these reviews I have come to the conclusion that I am not a true dedicated audiophile. Apparently I'm just a goober that likes music. This is a good speaker, it works great, it holds a charge a long time, and it was easy to pair to my phone. It doesn't quite have the bass to the JBLs do but it's a third of the price so I can deal with that. I cannot speak to its durability yet or if it's waterproof, but considered I don't have any plans to throw it in the lake, and I don't have a pool, I don't think I'll need to know that. So far so good. Highly recommended especially when it's on sale.

Good sound out of this little box! Enough bass, so it does not sound tinny. I like to listen to the Calm App all night to sleep, and the speaker will play for at least two nights. Takes a bit to charge up, but last a good long time. Convenient to pack in a suitcase. Sturdy. Highly recommended! I have two other speakers and this is the best for the price.

Just bought my second unit to support tethering them together. Had the first one a year or so and it has really held up. First charger is micro USB, new one is USB C, So thats fun. I'm not an audiophile but I think these sound pretty great a pack a fair amount of bass in such a small and adorable device. No noticable distortion. Performance is best at mid level and higher. Pairing to my phone has never been a problem and connecting them to each other is super easy. Color has held strong the last two years and I expect the new to last just as long. My only complaint is there is a large jump in audio near the bottom. Not a big deal but if I want a better sound I have to turn it up a little and move it away from me some.
