Overall, I really enjoy this angle grinder kit a lot. It’s a complete kit comes with everything you need. The overall manufacturing of this tool is truly top notch considering its price point. The trigger and button lock on this seem to work nice and smooth, compared as some of the other units that I’ve had. However, this unit is extremely handy due to the fact that it’s battery powered. That leads us to the only area where I think this unit could use an improvement on. Overall, this unit is great for medium light duty task. However, if you’re trying to cut something too fast or too thick, this unit can stall out pretty easily due to its smaller battery. However, I still feel like this unit is tremendously useful. Right now this is my main angle grinder and I have my old plug-in one just in case I have to cut something super thick. So overall really pleased with value and functionality. I wish that it had to beefier battery along with maybe a backup? All that being said, I’m very pleased. I would recommend it!

Okay, let's jump right in here: THE BLADES COME LOOSE: We all know how an angle grinder works - the direction of turn automatically tightens the thread of the locking nut/disk. This prevents the discs from coming loose during use. One thing I never thought of or experienced with prior angle grinders is that this GOCHFIX angle grinder comes to such a sudden stop if you release the button that the remaining inertia can unscrew the cutting wheel! The wheel just unscrews and drops off when you stop! When I first started using this product the cutting wheel would come off about 75% of the time when I stopped applying power. I tried some of my other angle grinders (I have a Hitachi and a Makita) and realized that other angle grinders are much gentler about how they turn off their motors. I have now learned to release the power on this GOCHIFIX angle grinder *verrrrry sloooowly* and have pretty much eliminated the self-unscrewing. THE GEAR TRAIN DOESEN'T ALWAYS CATCH: Occasionally when I start this angle grinder up the motor just spins without spinning the axle or disc. From the sound, the gears making up the 90 deg transition from the handle motor and the head just doesn't mesh. It only happens in one position though (blade flat parallel to the ground), so I have learned to start the motor up with the angle grinder in a different orientation. You might think I would be upset with the product given these problems. I kind of am but I have other angle grinders if I need them and this one has a good long lasting battery and is just very convenient to grab and use so I still find myself using this product pretty frequently.

The switch to trun it off/on doesn't work after the first time. It truns out that switch has to be cleaned (using a puressured air nozzle) everytime you grind something if it produces dust of any kind. First I thought the battery is dead but it was the switch. It gets dangerous really quick when you can't trun it off and struggle for a few minutes while the blade is stilll working. Other than the switch issue, I loved this tool, the profile and the power for what I needed it. Only if I could turn it on or off whenever I wanted....

I sent for one of these literally as "my first angle grinder" as working with metal is something I do a bit infrequently. This is beginning to change as I work on more and more difficult projects, vehicles, and custom work. Enter this device. These tools aren't complicated, but you should probably bone up on how to use one, maybe watch others, ask questions, Youtube a few people using them, etc. The variety of 4 inch discs out there lends itself well to the versatility of what you can get out of one of these. I think my only gripe about this is trying to figure out what "Type" of battery this is. I own a lot of Makita LXT tools, the battery pack is pretty easy to spot, but with this one, I'm not sure - and I wouldn't mind getting a few spare batteries if I intend to increase the use of this. Nothing is more annoying than having to sit around waiting for batteries to charge, so having a rotating stock keeps you working. I believe I asked the manufacturer in the listing, but have yet to hear anything on the "style" of battery - a little discouraging. If theirs are unique, it'd have been nice to include a second one, so you have your first "rotation."

This is a great grinder. It’s really great that it’s cordless so you can take it and use it wherever you need to. The battery lasts longer than I expected and charges pretty quick for what I expect as well. I haven’t had any issues with it and I’m really happy with how it performs and feels.
