This grinder came on time, had all the parts that were promised, and was well packed. I worried a little bit, because of its very low price, but every thing, including both batteries worked properly; the motor was smooth and quiet. So what's not to love? I have bought six of these 12V 3" angle grinders, from various sources. The first three were nearly new, when they were stolen. So I but three more, mostly to aquire lots of extra batteries. The one thing less than perfect about this particular model is that its handle is a little fatter than any of the others. I have large hands, so it doesn't concern me. However, a dainty pair of hands might find these awkward. This source also sells the same yellow grinder of this same model; it is just as good as this one.

The absolute most disappointing item I’ve ever purchased on Amazon. I’d highly recommend Amazon remove this angle grinder from its site. The grinder was weak and stopped spinning with very little pressure on the disc. The battery consumption rate was excessive. Both batteries were fully charged prior to my test run with the grinder. Within 20 minutes of relatively light duty both batteries were spent. Unfortunately, the charge rate is as slow as the consumption is fast. I would not recommend this as a tool. With a fluffy soft disc attached I t might suffice as a nail polisher in a salon.

The instructions contain no pictures/ drawings/ diagrams, so when it says "push the spin- dle lock button 2 forwards and simultaneously turn the grind- ing tool to fix the grinder spindle", you might be totally confused. A good guess as to what the "lock button" is the red slider nearest the guard, which it turns out IS the lock button, however "forward"? My thinking was that forward must mean towards the business end of the grinder, but it appeared the slider was not meant to move in that direction at all. SO, I tried to "push" it in a direction it looked like it was meant to move, but it wouldn't move. I finally was able to remove the red clip and see what it was supposed to be moving, then tried to move the metal tangs: they took refused to move. In desperation, I applied a few drops of A-1 oil to the metal, and was finally able to free it up after more oil and repeated attempts to move it. It works easiest by putting thumb on one side of the grip points and finger on the other and pulling it (NOT pushing it) up / away. To unlock push down in the middle. I put the red clip back on and was able to lock the spindle so I could attach the wheel, and the more I worked the lock button the easier it became to move. The pics are not in the order I intended them to be, and I am not able to caption them, but they were meant to show it in locked and unlocked positions. When all was said and done, this grinder worked perfectly for me. I was cutting thin metal and I didn't want to distort it like the 4 1/2 " electric powered hand grinder had been doing. This one cut very smoothly and evenly. This is not meant to do what the 4 1/2" grinders do, I have one and they are great for cutting and grinding thicker metals, but for thinner metals and finer cutting, this is the one to have. I would have given it a higher rating if instructions were better and the lock button worked without having to lubricate it first.

My one stop working after few months. I don’t know why-either power motor is out of order or anywhere connection failure. No way to fix the problem.

Good tool at this price. I like it, just not for heavy loads for long time. Great portable solution if you need very small and light. If used to hard will overheat and time out. It's OK as long as it's used with patience after learning it's limits. I'm glad I got.
