I've been in the process of replacing all of my old cordless tools to ones that use DeWalt 20v batteries. I thought I would give this one a try to replace my old angle grinder. Good choice. This angle grinder is well made out of good quality materials. Fit and finish are excellent. It comes with the usual side handle and guard that you need to install. I particularly like this grinder because you can push the button on the back, and rotate the head ninety degrees in either direction relative to the handle. Very handy for getting into awkward areas. Slow. Will not spin like my corded one. Next time buy a 40$ corded grinder.

    • Secret game changer
When i got this the description did not mention something very important and something I have used a lot already, that is the ability to rotate the head, yeah I said the head rotates and it is the most useful thing in a grinders world. Now I only 4 star this grinder because despite the really awesome feature it is a bit loose and if it's loose after a couple months then.... Granted I have used the bageezus outta this thing the fact is it's loose and I don't know how long it will hold up hey it could last year's I don't know just had to mention that. I wanted to 5 star it really bad but, is what it is. ... show more

    • Fits my Dewalt 20 volt batteries great
This is a fairly powerful medium duty grinder. It comes with 3 cutting wheels. They are the 1.4 inch thick wheels, not the thin blade wheels. They will work as a grinder as well. My DeWalt 20 volt batteries fit this thing great. and run for the expected time. The head of this grinder can be rotated, to accommodate different cutting angles. It fits comfortably in my hand, and is fairly well balanced for its size. I am not a commercial metal worker, but for the odd project that I need to cut or shape metal, this will be perfect. ... show more

Good points: It does work with Dewalt batteries. This tool is nothing fancy but has all of the features necessary to do the jobs for which it was intended. It does a good job on wood, concrete and rebar. Bad points: None. Weak points: The side handle could be a little longer to keep your hand farther away from the disc. It is a little too close for comfort. The instructions are very poor and do not indentify all of the buttons on the tool. ... show more

I needed to cut some steel fence panels today in the garden. I grabbed this grinder, put in a cutting blade, plugged in a DeWalt battery and made short work of the cutting. The grinder performed very well. I have a plug in grinder that I have been using for some time. Using this cordless grinder took me less time to do the job than what it would have taken to stretch electrical cords to my garden if I used my old grinder. So I am very happy with this tool. It doesn't appear to be as rugged as my other grinder, but will work great for when I am not near an electrical plug. ... show more

    • Average, just a little over priced.
The instructions are nearly all safety warnings and tips. The wheel guard does not clamp on the grinder properly. (It is a bit skewed when tightened.) There is no mention in the documentation about the button on top that lets you rotate the handle and head positions. That could be handy in some applications but nothing I've missed in my other grinders. It does come with an extra set of wheel flanges and it seems to have a fair amount of power. The wheels that come with it are heavy grinding wheels and not cutting wheels. There are no markings on the wheels so I would suggest buying some quality wheels before using. ... show more
