I really was impressed with the fit of these shorts. I have a pretty big booty for my frame and the xl fit perfectly without the excess of material in the front. Not to short , I got the folded zipper style. Going to order another pair.

I bought a 12 and they fit like a 12. Not super loose, but not tight at all. I have a little thicker thighs and they are not tight at all and have quite a bit of room, which is always a problem for me with shorts. I'm super picky about shorts and I'm prob going to buy a couple more pairs of these in different colors. I do like my shorts on the shorter length side though so if you're looking for a longer inseam, these aren't it. I'm 5'8" and they come to my upper thigh area.

These will be my go to shorts for the summer and and vacation. Planning to by a second pair. But if you don’t like button fly they may be in inconvenient. I can get them off and on without undoing the buttons.

So I've had two pair of these. My original pair were a Large. They were really unforgiving in the button/waist section with zero stretch, but manageable. One day I tried to put them on over my cast and the leg got snagged which tore the zipper all the way down and I had to buy a new pair. Considering the "hit or miss" comfort of the Large size, I figured "just get an XL", right? WRONG. The XL are massively different than any of the lower sizes. Its like the material changed from denim (with the Lg) into Jegging material with the XL. Yes, there's plenty of "give" now, but it also makes me look like I have a kangaroo pouch for a waist every time I wear them and after having two 10lb kids in my life, I don't NEED any help in that department to look that way. The button/waist is still tighter than the rest of the material so it digs into you, creating more of a balloon effect of your abdomen. So lesson learned...you can't order according to your size/height without sacrificing a completely different product type just to ensure you feel more comfortable.
