So, I am the proud owner of the newest iPad 12.9. It is amazing! On my previous iPad I used a Logitech smart keyboard case. This case was really excellent in all categories. I was disappointed that Logitech has not created a nice SMART case for this iPad, as yet. I perused Amazon and found this one. I was skeptical about a bluetooth keyboard. I gave it a shot anyway. Here's what I found: Nice overall case. It hugs the new iPad well. The bluetooth keyboard is actually quite nice. Well built and pairs immediately with the iPad. Turn it on and go! The keyboard feels sturdy and solid. The back of the case is magnetic and holds the keyboard tightly. You can also place the keyboard inside the case and close it and this will keep it secure within the case. I like the fact that the case can be used with or without the keyboard. I can leave the keyboard behind and still have protection. The battery life on the keyboard is amazing! It has been two weeks, so far, and no problems with the battery or recharging. I imagine the keyboard will remain charged up for several months. The customer service from these folks is absolutely amazing! I had an issue about where to place the keyboard and they responded within hours. These folks really do care about the product they sell, and will stand behind it 100%. So if you have the new iPad, and are looking for a case that is versatile and worth the money..look no further....this is DEFINITELY IT!!! UPDATED REVIEW ON NEW LIGHTED KEYBOARD/CASE BY CHESONA OK, so I went out and purchased the Chesona iPad pro 12.9 case with Bluetooth keyboard BEFORE the lighted keyboard was available! As in a previous post, I mentioned that I had the Logitech Pro smart keyboard previously and I loved it. Now, I am in LOVE with the new CHESONA keyboard even more. WHY??? it's lighter than the Logitech. A third of the price, and along with a screen protector provides excellent protection. I am a writer, and I do most of my work early morning, or late evening. It's dark most times my creative juices flow. I found that although I type "old school" by touch...I missed my Logitech lighted keyboard. ENTER CHESONAS' NEW LIGHTED KEYBOARD!!!! I saw that they had a LIGHTED KEYBOARD AVAILABLE ON AMAZON! I immediately purchased this new case and lighted keyboard! CHESONA DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! This new keyboard is amazing!! The case is also amazing, and it appears that CHESONA listened to customers about the first keyboard/case and made great improvements on this new one. First, the case itself seems to hug the iPad better and has a wonderful non-slip rubbery feel to the outside. This is awesome for carrying the case because it will not slip out of your hands. It appears that CHESONA has added stronger magnets that will hold the keyboard securely to the platform, both vertically and horizontally for carry! So, you can slide the keyboard to where it is most comfortable to you, and it will stay. The propped up iPad is securely held in place by magnetic grooves in the platform. There are ridges in the platform to help give it stability during use. I was recently in Mississippi on a business trip, and the case with removable LIGHTED keyboard proved to be a God send!! The Bluetooth connection is flawless. Once paired, the keyboard comes to life immediately and auto connects. It is easily as quick as the "smart" logitech keyboard. The keyboard lights up upon first touch and it is a wonderful addition to the keyboard. A BONUS is that you can change the colors of the keys on the keyboard and tailor them to your taste. I just left mine RED and BLUE since the holiday is coming around! The lighted keyboard absolutely makes all the difference in a dim lit room. I absolutely love it! The battery life of this keyboard is astounding! I've had it two weeks and have YET TO CHARGE THE KEYBOARD A SECOND TIME! The lights on the keyboard do not seem to have affected the battery life! The previous keyboard is now 3 months old...and I have not charged that one either!!!! The keyboard has a very "real" feel to it. The keys depress easily, accurately, and there is no latency at all. I can type pretty fast, and I have yet to see a flaw in the key response or error in key selection. In fact, I would have to say that this keyboard has a better "feel" than the Logitech. The keyboard itself is also made of a slip proof casing....so, it not only feels better, but will not slip out of the case. You can store the keyboard WITHIN the case by simply sliding it back and closing the case. The magnets keep the keyboard secure. I have also stored the keyboard on the outside of the case...and it is quite secure. I would not travel this way, but for around the house it's fine. Removing the keyboard altogether gives you a very beautiful low profile case that's light, secure, protective, and easy to carry. There are many similar cases on Amazon...but none seem to have the quality and feel of this CHESONA keyboard/case. The other factor is that CHESONA is an amazing company. They are extremely focused on customer satisfaction. They respond to emails quickly, and find a resolution to any issue you may have very quickly. That customer service combined with this outstanding product makes me a believer, and I recommend the company and the products without hesitation!!! I have not written any big reviews, but this product and seller deserve it. Read the full history below which should hopefully give you a good idea about the product, but most importantly, the customer service AESTHETICS ----------------- The choice I was considering before buying this case was to probably buy Apple's smart case. It had some nice features like connecting to the Smart Connectors, etc. However, I was not convinced that it could offer any protection if the iPad is dropped even from a small height. As you know, these technical things have a knack for falling on the corner for some reason, and therefore I was obviously hesitant. The reason I considered using the Apple Keyboard was just to "show off" in front of the clients--i.e. the Apple Tax! Eventually I bought this cover which turned out to be fairly pleasing. It does get dirty as the dust gets into the groves, but that is easily solved by wiping the cover once in a while. With this keyboard, I got best of both worlds. Now, everyone's choices will be different, but the price point was important for me, and I believe I succeeded in my goal by buying this cover! QUALITY ----------- The product came in a very nice box with a lot of foam protection to prevent any shipping damage. Setting it up took me like 5 minutes! The case was sturdy and the keyboard was very small yet very comfortable to type on without any lags. Because of this, I started using the iPad 12.9" as my road-warrior mini laptop and leave my Macbook Pro behind. The iPad cover itself is made with a material with ridges for easy gripping. When you hold it in your hands, it immediately makes you feel that the iPad is safe! The iPad sits inside a cutout and therefore protected on all 4 corners. The case has a slot below the main pocket to hold an Apple pencil securely. You can also charge the Apple Pencil without taking the iPad out from the case. I had very small 2 issues which do not deserve taking a start off, but just to be aware of are: a) I decided to put a screen cover on the iPad. But the screen coved comes off the edges when put in the case. The case basically lifts the screen protector up. I wish the seller can actually make a screen protector too, just a bit smaller than other screen protectors, which will protect the iPAD COMPLETELY. The other small gripe I have is that when you put the Apple Pencil for charge and close the cover (meaning Pencil is not in it's slot), the pencil tends to fall without warning! I lost aa Apple Pencil like that, and knowing how costly the pencil is, it did make me anxious a little. But, as long as you put the pencil in the secure slot before moving around or going out, you will be good. CUSTOMER SERVICE -------------------------------- Now comes my main reason why I chose to write a review for this product. Because the keyboard can be detached and the cover can be used as is, one day I accidentally left the keyboard on the bed hidden under some sheets. Later, without realizing, my wife put a bit of pressure while lifting something from the floor. Unfortunately, the keyboard snapped in the middle with some plastic pieces that were short and sharp. I threw the keyboard away to avoid any cuts. I was obviously bummed out that the keyboard broke. I was almost prepared to order another one of these, but I thought let me contact the seller to see if they can just sell me a replacement keyboard which will hopefully be cheaper than buying the whole case again. To my surprise, the seller understood the situation completely even though it was our mistake and offered to send out a replacement cover with the keyboard because they don't sell the keyboard alone. Incidentally, I would encourage them to sell them separately so I can keep the keyboards in multiple places (at home, at work, etc.). Anyway, back to my experience, after a couple of emails to confirm the address etc., they did send me the cover free of charge.     • A decent case for a decent price.
I wasn't all that interested in blowing nearly $200 for Apple's official iPad Pro case, so I opted for something from Amazon instead. Looked at many cases, and settled on this one. Overall, it's okay. It covers the whole iPad, something some other cases don't do, and it's a nice snug fit as well. It's a little heavy, even without the iPad in it, but not excessively so. If anything, all that thickness is just more protection for your expensive tablet. Not a bad thing at all! My only real complaint is that, in order to open or close the case, you have to move the keyboard. Going from closed up, you have to open it up, lay it on a flat surface and then pull the keyboard down so that you can expose the little ridges that the iPad fits into in order to stand up like a laptop. Then, when you want to close it back up again, you once more have to push the keyboard back up so that you can fully close the case and wrap the little magnetic flap around it. It's honestly kind of tedious. This case feels like it was designed as a standalone case first, and then the keyboard was added later. If you take the keyboard out and just use it as a case, it works very well. But when you try and add the keyboard in, you get the situation above where you're constantly having to shift the keyboard around in order to use it, or close it up properly. Outside of that, this is a very nice and protective case for something that only costs $50. Apple, take some notes. We'd like a case that actually covers the entire iPad, not just the front and back! ... show more

I love this case so much, so glad I picked this over any other case. The magnetic-bluetooth keyboard is perfect. And the sleekness of the case is gorgeous. And the case is super thick and protective. Highly recommend this.
