I have very curly type 4A hair. I mostly wear my hair in its naturally curly state, which is a curly afro. I have not straightened my hair since 2011 with a flat iron. At most, I will blow it out with a blow dryer every blue moon. When I ordered this, I was expecting a typical flat iron. I was not expecting to have the experience that I did. I own a ton of flat irons that I acquired before I started wearing my hair exclusively in its curly state. My old flat irons are nothing like this flat iron. This flat iron has titanium ceramic plates that look like glass. The plates are incredibly smooth. I straightened my hair using the lowest setting, which is 320 degrees. I did not want to go higher than that because I did not want to damage or change the curl pattern of my natural textured hair. I used one pass and my hair was straight. My hair still had moisture, elasticity, and looked healthy. My cuticles were smooth. My hair did not look like it had been "fried", which is how I would describe my hair when I use a traditional flat iron on my textured hair. I did not add anything to my hair, including oil, a leave in conditioner or a heat protectant. My hair did not look dry, and it felt very soft. I loved the titanium ceramic plates on this flat iron. My hair looks like I went to a professional salon to have it professionally done. This is a professional quality flat iron. There is nothing cheap about the designs or the material used to make this flat iron. The baby pink color is quite attractive. It is coated in a matte, non-slippery finish. The handle has rubber finger grips on both sides of the handle to make it easier to hold the flat iron, and to ensure that you will not burn your fingers. That is a nice and a well thought out detail. Even the cord is made from a thick, rubber material that is more durable, and less likely to fray, than cords found on similar hair straightening or curling irons. The flat iron has some weight to it, but I would not describe it is as heavy. The on and off buttons are positioned on the side of the handle. One long press turns the flat iron on or off. To increase the heat temperature, you press and hold the plus button on the side of the handle. Likewise, you hold the negative button to decrease the temperature. When I pressed the buttons, they responded quickly to my touch. I did not have to press hard or have any issues trying to control the temperature. The temperature display is digitized. The numbers are clear, bright, and easy to read. I did not have to guess about the temperature setting. I did not have to wait for the flat iron to heat up. The instructions said it heats up in 20 seconds. I felt heat immediately, and used the flat iron as soon as I turned it on. I did not wait 20 seconds. I remember having to wait 15 minutes or longer in order to give my old flat irons time to heat up before I could start the process of flat ironing my hair. Not having to wait for the plates to heat up is great and saves time in the morning. The titanium plates are big for a flat iron this size. This means I could fit larger sections of my hair between the plates, which sped up the whole process. I am was not familiar with the Angenil brand name until recently. I recently ordered a compact blow dryer from them, and I was blown away by the performance of that tiny dryer. I am even more impressed by this flat iron, and I am not big on straightening products because I love and prefer my natural curls. That being said, WHEN I straighten my hair, I will certainly be using this flat iron. It left my straightened hair healthy looking and shiny. I also trust that when I wash my hair, my curls will still be intact and not heat damaged because I only used one pass on the lowest setting.

I absolutely adore this straightener. First off, it heats up in SECONDS. I love that I don't have to wait around for ages for it to get up to temp. By the way, it goes to 470 degrees! That's probably bad for your hair but it's nice to have the capability. I have had a lot of straighteners and this is the first one that feels like it gives me straight hair that doesn't frizz or poof up within a few hours. It also makes amazing curls. I would 100% order this as a gift for someone.

This hair straightener is wider than any I’ve used before. It has great temperature control which is nice so you can choose the temperature that is right for your hair type and thickness. It straightened my hair on the first pass which keeps heat exposure down. This is a high quality straightener.

This straightener heats up quickly and does an excellent job at straightening my hair in no time! I love that it is wider than most so that I can straighten my daughter's very thick and long wavy hair as well. It leaves my daughter's hair looking perfectly straight and feeling soft. She loves her long hair straightened, and she has gotten many compliments after using the straightener! I very much appreciate how quickly it heats up and the silicone mat that comes with it to protect furniture and surfaces from the high heat of the straightener. The bag is also nice to have for travel this summer, and the facial scrubber is a nice bonus. This straightener works very well. I would gift it to someone in a heartbeat. I highly recommend it!

If you’re going to use this, make sure that you know how to use a hair iron/straightener. Do you want to also make sure that you know what temperature to use for your hair because this thing is serious it heats up really fast. It has a variety of temperature that you can set it on and it takes no time to heat up like I said it heats up fast. I’ve bought some pretty expensive straighteners before and this one tops them for sure. This is a great quality hair iron. It comes with a Matt put it on because it doesn’t get hot so you don’t heat up your counters or anything like that. It definitely works. I had a hard time trying to do any waves are curls in my hair with it and that’s because I have the white or one but as far as moving out my hair, it’s great. I can get some waves a little bit of light curl with the larger one I think that it’s worth the price because I’ve spent more on others that are near as good as this one. It does heat quickly but doesn’t cool quickly. The description title says 240 and up and further down in the description the minimum heat is 320… my laser thermometer says it is less than 300 for the minimum. Plus, when you lower it back down to “320” from 400, say, it is much higher temp for a while. It is pretty and It does smooth the hair cuticle after a wash and dry, however, can’t get it to do ANY curling. Could be it is not for fine, normally straight hair. Description says for All hair types, but then doesn’t mention fine hair, just Wavy, Frizzy, Thick, Straight. I ordered it based on the curling ability touted and shown. Fine straight is a different challenge for this appliance.

I have been using a old straightener for the past couple of years and while it did the job, my hair feels almost spoiled with the usage of this new straightener. The straightener is packaged nicely and comes with small additional things like a bag, a silicone mat and a facial brush too! The item is very cute and I particularly love how wide the actual straightener is. It glides pretty effortlessly across the hair and heats up surprisingly fast - make sure to be aware of that. The highest setting is very hot too so be sure you can use what your hair can handle.
