I was hesitant to buy this because of the reviews showing the hinges coming off but that has yet to happen to me. I've had this for about a month and haven't noticed it so much as getting loose on me. Looks good and has been solid. It's slightly glossier than what you see in the picture but it looks great and will most likely blend with age. The only defect I noticed was a tiny rain drop size chip underneath but I just used some wood marker on it and its not noticeable (not that it was to begin with). Installation was super easy, considering i've never been very handy with tools. So far I am happy with it. I will update should it give me any problems. Update: 1 year later with zero issues (and I am a heavy dude, so that speaks to the sturdiness this product has shown).

This is a great looking and sitting seat! Fits perfectly and the color is perfect. It has a nice weight and doesn’t appear cheap. I only wish the nuts that tighten it were not plastic- they seem not to hold as well as they should. Good buy- no regrets

I never thought I'd be so excited about a toilet seat but it really helps pull our (otherwise very builder grade and heavily landlord special-ed) bathroom together. Quality feels nice, and you can actually feel a slight wood grain texture to it when you touch it. We've only had it on for a couple days so I can't speak to it getting wobbly or not, but my husband said it was easy to install and looks like it could be tightened back up if it starts to slide. It's on the higher end of toilet seat prices, but I think it was well worth it. It fits in nicely with our sort of medieval/cottagecore/woodland/apothecary theme we're going for in our bathroom. Makes me happy every time I see it!

I am very much happy to review this awesome product. It arrived very carefully packaged to prevent any damage with shipping. All the components were there with instructions. The only thing that I, for the life of me could not figure out, was application of the toilet seat cover, even after looking at the photos posted on Amazon, because that was not included in the package. Also, when I opened the soft toilet seat cover from its packaging, the plastic ring had come out and I wasn't sure which end I was to put it back into. So, I reached out to Craftshell, explaining my situation, and they got back to me very quickly. They included a detailed 4-picture instruction file (which I am posting here for anyone else who may have the same difficulties). It was quite easy to reinstall the plastic ring, and following the photo directions, I had the soft seat cover on in no time, and applied the toilet lift too. However, the seat is just so beautiful that as much as I appreciate the free soft seat cover, I later removed it to proudly display its quality craftsmanship. When we are in need of other toilet seat replacements, I will definitely turn to this company/product without hesitation. Thank you SO much!

This product should be required to have soft close hinges, as it is an extreme danger for a toddler to break his hand or worse, hit him in the head and cause severe injury. as the toilet seat is made of solid wood and would do significant damage to a child’s hand, I purchased the soft close hinges separately for an extra $20. just a matter of time before a lawsuit comes. upgrade your product, please.
