I love using this for repairing electronics (welding and general repairs). The feature that most impresses me with this product, though, is that I can share the screen with a class or on an application for teaching to show HOW to fix a product or weld a circuit board. This is excellent at showing your work - saving on PC and recording - even able to edit before sharing a final video. This is not what it is advertised for, but for all you "how to" people, this is an excellent tool! Recommend for home use and for shared knowledge!

What I did not like : - The instructions could be clearer. I you want to connect this to a PC, you need to use the simple USB cable for data and the compound one to feed the lights. - In the Microscope Measurement software, the light adjustment does not work. It has to be done manually. - Maybe a higher resolution for the display on the computer monitor in PC camera mode would have been nice. All in all this seems a reasonable deal, given the cost.

I couldn't imagine in the past having something like this considering the price, but I finally got one and I'm obsessed with it. I love putting anything and everything in it to see close up. You can see a ton of things not visible to the naked eye. It was really easy to use as well.

If there was a 0 star review, this would be it for me. I bought mine in early 2024. I bought it because it was allegedly WiFi compatible. The WiFi connection light on the screen turns on, as if it was connected, but it doesn't allow you to connect to anything. Back then, the manufacturer kept teasing me with admissions that WiFi was not yet working, as it was a new release, and I was stupid enough to believe them up until it was too late to return it to Amazon. So I've had it boxed up in the closet and useless to me. Not sure what others do with theirs, but the one thing that they are not doing is WiFi connecting it to anything. There is no mention of WiFi in their documentation, and none any longer on the website, but there is a light on the display that says WiWi, which is red, until you select WiFi in the menu. Then the light turns green and nothing happens. If you want my opinion, DON'T buy it, stay far away from it, and don't believe anything that Andonstar tells you and if I was allowed to gift it to someone here, I would do just that. Oh, did I mention that I tried 3 of these initially (2 exchanges), then it was too late. :-(

The microscope unit is surprisingly useful for its price (compared to the $2000 Dinolite - a brand name, professional equivalent). The stand is lightweight, fragile and conveys a lot of movement; making close up microscopy shaky and impractical. The lights are okay. I highly recommend making your own stand or finding a better one elsewhere to increase stage stability. I measured the optical power of each objective lens to be as follows: Lens L: max magnification = 40x (not 60x, as advertised). Notably, the included stand doesn't allow you to hold the lens 300mm from an object so I didn't measure the min magnification. Lens A: max magnification = 100x (not 180x, as advertised). This lens seems to have the best stability for its magnification (using the included stand). Lens D: magnification = 60-240x (not 510x, as advertised). Extremely shaky image with the included stand. The 10.1" screen has 3.0x digital magnification and this is the basis of advertising such ridiculus magnifications. If you want to build or buy another stand, the unit head and lens assembly has a diameter of 43.7mm and the included stand mounting hole has a diameter of approx 45mm (it has poor tolerances). The screen interface isn't very useful as most configurations must be performed with the included IR remote; which incidentally was stolen from some other project as the button icons seldom correspond to their configured function on the screen.

the screen had the wrong microscope attached to it. There was no way to change the different magnification lenses.
