Very simple straight forward condenser microphone. Similar quality to some name brands, its made of metal and plastic. There is some slight noise when sound it really low but nothing to be concerned about. Using on my Sony FS7 and x200. Would buy again.

Not durable, died after 15 months
It certainly gives better sound quality than a built in camcorder mic on my pro Sony HXR model. Mic was used lightly about 3 days per week 3-4 hrs each day and handled as delicately as the camcorder itself.. But one fateful day I plugged it in before a shoot and it was no longer responsive .
