If you want it a little quieter, add more rocks below the waterfall. I tried varying the amount of water - adding a little, to filling it almost to the top, it didn’t splash at all. Well worth it.

I have had numerous fountains over the years - some far more expensive than this little beauty. No fountain has had such a perfect sound as this! As you can see, it's become part of a vignette that has yet to fill in. The simplicity of this piece, as well as its rather petite size, make it perfect for such an undertaking, though it is elegant on its own. One of my favorite characteristics of this fountain is the large bowl. Even in the dry air of Tucson, I don't need to top it off more than once every three to four days. I've never run it until the motor - the blessedly silent motor - was exposed. I do add algaecide to the gallon of distilled water from which I fill it. I love that there are no mineral spots nor any sign of algae after a solid month of running. I'm only halfway through the gallon from which I filled the fountain! I mention this because it's rather astounding that I've run it for a month and have any of the original gallon jug left, let alone a full half! But what matters most about any fountain? The sound. With this fountain, its beautifully variable tones do not fight with a noisy motor for dominance. The provided motor is silent. This is also a first for me! Whether you incorporate this fountain into a larger design, place it on an altar, or run it on your office desk, you will hear nothing but the water. The design is elegant. The materials and components are high quality. I cannot imagine being disappointed by this small fountain, as long as you're aware of the size. The only thing I would add would be an inline switch to the electrical cord for convenience. But really, once you plug it in, you'll only want to stop it for cleaning, which is a breeze. I hesitated on this one simply because I had so many bad experiences with fountains in the past. This had brought nothing but joy! Some of the plants and the peacock feathers were purchased from Amazon as well. Enjoy!

It didn't work when I first plugged it in, but I jiggled the connection to the power cord and it started working. My favorite part about it is that the motor is really quiet. All you hear is the water. I may send it back if the power short becomes an issue. I love that it is ceramic. It looks nice, not cheap.

I liked most everything: ease of assembly, soothing sound, nice appearance, addition of little vase for plants. It would be great if the top could be secured to the base but not a game changer. Would buy again.

I was really happy with this fountain...nice sound, attractive, nicely made...then it stopped flowing after 4 months. I could see that the tube was clogged so I used a q-tip and cleaned it out, but there is no way to re-attach it. It must be done in a factory and not by hand. I took out the 3 year warranty plan through Asurion and just attempted to make a claim. I've been on the phone for an hour and half going back and forth between Asurion and Amazon. Now I've contacted the seller. Such a hassle!!! Let's see if they actually replace the product....will update.

I wanted something simple and chic, perhaps even passing for something from CB2 (well a povvo-chic version at least :) Most of the other fountains on Amazon looked frankly a little creepy, kinda like some fantasy garden gnome fairy land vibe. I just wanted something simple. After scrolling until my hand almost fell asleep I found this! Yay! There was some drama in the reviews like is it loud is it not…let me solve this for you: I put fountain sound in my video - not me talking like in other videos because nobody cares haha we just want to hear the water sound. The little pot turned out to be a great place to put pothos clipping in water, they are super happy growing there! The fountain does splash out little drops and I can’t see a way for it not to, so I put it in that gold tray. The gold tray combo really works as I can see the drops being annoying otherwise as there are quite a bit after a few hours! Overall I looooove this fountain and get a lot of compliments, my friends are always shocked it’s from Amazon and I feel all smug saying. Yes. And the tray is from IKEA. Take that, 1%.

I had a different fountain where this new one is now and it splashed everywhere and the motor was loud so I never used it. Ordered this fountain here based on positive reviews and absolutely love it. No splashing whatsoever and I can barely notice the motor running. The water sounds like a lovely, burbling creek. I added river stones to enhance the waterfall / creek effect. I use distilled water in hopes it will keep the motor and tubes going longer. Unlike some other reviewers, I had no problem or issues with the tubes, by the way. Don't hesitate to purchase, you'll be glad you did!
