  • A Good Bike, at a Great Value
All in all, a very good purchase. I have wanted an e-bike for a while, but was afraid of the cost. When I saw this one and read the reviews, I figured it would be worth a chance, and either I would like having one, and maybe eventually get a nicer one, or I would remember how much I don’t like bike riding, and save myself some money for a space occupier. Assembly was pretty simple, especially if you are a bicycle person. I am not. Through YouTube, I was able to get the gear somewhat tuned, but I had to bring it in to a bike shop for them to get everything set right. I could ride it after my attempt, but the bike shop made it way better. It was a decent $11 spent. I’m a bigger guy, so I bought the 350w version. Plenty of torque and power for me. The battery and motor setup are not very advanced. There is one button that turns it on and selects the amount of assist. So you basically have a 5-speed motor that runs when the pedals are going. So your assist is just on at whatever level you set it. To get to 3 from 5, you have to click past one and two, if that makes sense. And it’s really only 4 gears, because I don’t notice anything on 1. You also have a throttle on the right. When you turn on the assist, at any level, the throttle will drive the wheels without pedaling. It also seems to be a little bit of all or nothing with the throttle. It doesn’t seem like holding it softer makes you go slower. You kind of have to modulate your speed by timing your on and off. At first, all of this took a little getting used to, and when you make mistakes at first it can be a little unsettling. But after literally just a few minutes, or one good ride, it’s totally without thought. I would describe this bike as a good battery/motor system, on a typical $100-150 bike from a big box store. It’s not gonna win any awards for style and design. But it is probably very similar to any bike I would have purchased without a motor. I was not going to be spending $4-500 on a bike without a motor, and I was not going to be spending $1500 on an e-bike. This one hit a pretty sweet spot right in the middle. One other note, it’s heavy. Not prohibitively so, but if you are loading two bikes, this one will be markedly heavier. ... show more

  • Very good entry level pedal assist bike
I love to bike and I have a nice road bike. My road bike is fun for riding but not so good for just touring and enjoying the sites. Also at 63 I am not so interested in powering up hills and maxing out speed on a flat. I want to ride, have fun and get exercise. I purchased this bike because it is an entry cost ebike with good reviews and I did not know if I would like riding a pedal assist bike. I love this bike. The assist adjustment on the handlebar is easy to use and convenient for your thumb to make adjustments to power. As you approach a hill you can easily adjust up the assist. After some trial and error, I found I could adjust the assist so I did not slow down on most hills. I can ride farther and enjoy the sites around me more. The bike was easy to assemble. I had the bike assembled in less than an hour after it arrived. The tool pack that comes with the bike is sufficient to assemble the bike. Basically, you attach the front tire, handlebars and seat. All the cables are pre-assembled. I did have one issue with the bike. The front disk brake did not work. I did not want to go through the process of trying to repack the bike and return it, so I went to my local bike shop and they were able to repair the brake for $26. The brake was not assembled correctly at the factory. He was able to pull it apart, put it back together correct and it works fine now. This was probably an anomaly. He also adjusted the cable tension for both front and back brakes. So far I have only road about 10 miles at a time on the bike. The battery was down 1 bar. The 22 to 40 mile range seems reasonable for the amount of power I used on 10 miles. I only have about 20 miles on the bike so far and cannot speak about how well this bike will hold up. Hopefully I can come back and update this review after I get a couple hundred miles on the bike. ... show more

  • Good bike for the money (updated)
This may sound like a beginning to a mediocre review but really isn’t. I’ve been riding this bike multiple times a week for two plus years (from April thru October). It flatted the 1st week I had it and has been flawless since (I had lbs adjust brakes when they replaced the tube). Changed out the seat & light, added a rack & front fender & since then I’ve had reliable utility & convenience transportation without spending another penny. A part of me wants to get something newer & prettier with more ‘bells & whistles” but so far I’ve stayed true to this Ancheer and appreciate an honest product for a rock-bottom price. Updated 10/08/25; I just replaced the brake pads and disks with a different (upgraded) set. I’m not heavy but the bike is, and after a lot of use (2 full years) the pads were done. It was always the weakest element of the bike so the are bigger, heavier duty and even though the job cost $280 I think it’s worth it. I expect to get 3 more years of 2-4 meaningful “local transportation” rides from this bike. Still a great purchase👍🏻 ... show more

  • Good buy for your money
Color: Green
It's pretty durable, I'm 185ibs and it scootin right out of the box. Easy assembly. Tire's are soft and makes the ride pretty smooth and traction on gravel and grass. 25 miles in and I satisfied with the purchase. Top speed 19mph. Gears work well. Breaks work well. Trotting control, smooth 👍🏼

  • Awesome ebike Awesome ebike
Ever since my car died the real death, this bike has been my primary transportation. Not easy to do in a small Midwest town. I reviewed e bikes and was afraid I'd have to spend thousands of dollars on a good one (if I could do that I'd probably get another car). Then I came across this one on Amazon and decided to take a chance. I'm very happy I did. This bike is awesome and has enough charge to get me anywhere in my local area. Fast, fun and very reliable so far. Very simple to put together; I was taking out the packing and noticed the setup manual, I put this bike together without needing it. Highly recommended. One note: the first 3 times I rode it I had to go over all the fasteners and re-tighten everything due to break-in. SOP but definitely needed on this one. 5/23/2021 - Updating this review to reflect my experience with a warranty issue. After a couple of months, the battery will no longer fully charge; it always shows 3 green lights and 1 red one. I contacted Ancheer CS and was told the issue would have to be resolved through Amazon; I was also given the email address at Amazon for this. After 3 emails with no response, it looks like I'm going to have to shell out about $100 for a replacement battery. So the fact is that as far as warranty goes, YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. Hope you have a good local bike shop if you're not the DIY type. ... show more

  • DONT BUY THIS BIKE BECAUSE IF IT BREAKS YOURE SCREWED
It was somewhat easy to assemble once I figured out I had to turn the handle bar stem around. It had every tool you needed to make it work. Battery is great and I think the pedal assist 4 is too much lol. It's super fun to use and very fast EDIT the bike waz great while it worked broke in less then a month tired popped multiple times front wheels became loose quickly the motor stopped working I asked for a replacement motor and they said they would send me one and I've been waiting 2 months so I've been using it as a normal bike and now the bike tire has come so loose it fell off while riding I've contacted the company and they have issued a partial refund to me and I keep telling them I want to return it and they keep dragging the process out they have offered me a 30 dollar refund I said no they offered a 80 dollar refund I said no they then said I should get the not or then sell the bike and then buy another one from them for a discounted price I just want my money back or a replacement since they said I had a Warranty the customer Sirvice sucks DONT BUY THIS BIKE BECAUSE IF IT BRAKES YOURE SCREWED ... show more

  • Great e-bike! Great quality!
Bike came in 5 days during the covid-19 pandemic. I'm almost 63 , have COPD , had 2 heart attacks in February 2020. One from shoveling heavy snow and the next one because I wasn't fully recovered and rode my regular bike too hard. So I got an e-bike! Inexpensive e-bike. Not cheap . Came packaged great. Put it together and everything was fantastic. Nice looking bike . Having a motor on the bike lets me ride again. I couldn't ever ride a regular bike again. So this is a Godsend. The handle bars have all the goodies bolted on it , so installing them is a breeze. Front wheel no problem, connecting the wires no problem. You have to have the mode selector in any mode but the first, for the motor to work with just the thumb button. Took a while to figure that out .Really cool bike ! Goes plenty fast and no problem assembling it. Everything was tuned and ready . Just had to adjust the pad in front so it wouldn't rub the rotor. Very easy fix. Looked at videos on You tube on how to do that. This bike is a good buy! Very rugged and built to last! Very Satisfied with this. My first e-bike and I never want to get off it ! Great exercise and without the motor I could never ride a bike again! ... show more

  • Power assist DOA great customer service, great for weight loss
It's incredibly easy to assemble even with 0 knowledge about bikes, the instructions have pictures and even a child should be able to complete assembly in under an hour. The bike is a bit heavy at 50 pounds but the motor more than makes up for it, Im currently 240 pounds slightly obese person, I bought this bike to commute to and from work, which is a 12 miles trip. I travel 24 miles every day on a single charge (full throttle but also pedaling)and I'm almost sure i could do 3 trips too but i haven't tried yet. The bike makes even the steepest hills doable for an out of shape guy like me, most hills i dont even lower the gears, but I DO need to help the motor if the climb is really steep, you will need to pedal uphill. The max speed on flat terrain is 18mph, which seems slow on paper but you fly past most bikers with little effort, using the motor i can sustain 18mph for 2 hours without even sweating, in order to increase my workout ive been progressively limiting the amount of time i allow myself to use the motor, i started a month ago and i can almost complete the whole trip on my own, which is something i couldn't have done before. I love this bike and it's helping me lose weight incredibly fast and painlessly, that being said you should know that, in my opinion at least, this is NOT a mountain bike, its a great commuter bike and it can take dirt roads no problem, but you shouldn't be jumping on ramps and throwing yourself down a mountain on this bike, the suspension really isn't made for it and it doesn't have rear suspension, I'm sure the frame can take it but if you jump off a ramp with this I'm pretty sure the front suspension will disintegrate. If you do plan on getting this bike I strongly recommend you buy a better seat right away, the seat it comes with is not good at all. The lamp is also not good you should get one as well if you plan to ride at night. My power assist sensor came doa so my bike's motor won't kick in automatically, however, I can use the throttle perfectly fine. When I placed my original review complaining about this fact customer service contacted me within the hour and offered to send me a replacement free of charge and even to pay the bike mechanics fee to install it, I think that went above and beyond but sadly I live in the banana republic of Venezuela, and I'm afraid the package would be lost if sent here directly from china, (i use a freight forwarder which I trust and knows how to navigate customs and not lose my stuff) so they offered to give me a generous partial refund, which I happily accepted and plan on using to buy the 250-watt ancheer bike so my girlfriend can keep up with me. Overall I'm very happy with it, I was afraid the motor wouldn't be able to keep up with my weight but it was unfounded, I'm happy I didn't spend the extra $ to get a 500w model, it would have been unnecessary unless you plan to use it as a motorcycle without pedaling, but then what's the point? unless you plan to climb EL CAPITAN with it 350w should be more than enough. ... show more
