This doesn’t work unless there is direct sunlight on the panel. Have to change its position during the day depending on where the sun is. Turns off if you walk past the solar panel. No battery. I just returned it.

I use this in a backyard pond. When it’s getting good sun, it’s quite powerful and makes a pleasant sound. We use the bubble fountain top. The spray top attachments have a pretty wide range and our pond is only 50gal so it sprays water out of the sides if we use those and the sun is strong. I will say that it struggles to work in dappled light when the tree starts to shade it a bit. If I walk past the solar panel and cast a shadow on it, the fountain will stop for a second, then start up again- it doesn’t have any sort of power storage so don’t expect it to work at dawn, dusk, or in the shade. We’ve found it to be better than most other options out there for solar powered fountains and would buy this again simply for the ease of not having to run electrical out to the pond.

Solar panel is glass with an aluminum frame. 8.25 x 15.37 inches, sturdy and well made. Cord from solar panel to pump is 16.5 feet. Not heavy duty, but adequate. Pump riser is 9.5 inches tall to the first nozzle and 0.5 inches in diameter where the nozzle slips on. Overall I am pleased with this solar pump set up. I am using it in a fountain/birdbath. I did use a filter bag around the pump to keep it clean so hopefully it lasts for a long time. Keep in mind it has NO battery backup and only runs when the sun is shining on the solar panel.
