  • Very comfortable with eyeglasses on, up to around 145mm wide.
A lot of folks are saying this item doesn't work with eyeglasses. That's mostly false; these are actually some of the most comfortable face covers available for wearing glasses in VR. However, there are two things to keep in mind: 1.) How wide is your eyeglass frame? Mine is 143mm at the temples, and it fits perfectly with room to spare, so I imagine frames up to 145mm can fit just as well. The average glasses are around 135 to 145mm wide, so this should work for most folks. If your glasses are significantly larger than that, it may not matter which face cover you use (even the stock cover), as your glasses likely won't even fit in the Oculus headset. 2.) You need to adjust the pads to ensure that they conform to your eyeglass frame (it's different for everyone). Once you make the adjustment, the pads are extremely comfortable and allow you to smoothly take the headset on and off, and unlike almost any other face cover/cushion, they don't put pressure on your eyeglass arms/sides of your head. The face cover comes in two parts: the interface (which is similar to the stock Oculus face cover, except with bits of velcro attached), and a pair of pleather cushions (one thin, one thick). The cushions attach to the interface via velcro, and can be moved and adjusted as needed. It might take a bit of time to get that perfect fit, but it's absolutely worth it. This is far more comfortable than the stock face cushion, and much easier to clean, two things that are extremely important for folks who use VR for long fitness sessions. This also scores points over silicone wraps that go over the stock face cover, as while silicon wraps are also easier to clean, they also slide all over your face and out of place when you get sweaty, and ALSO grip onto your glasses, tearing them off your face any time you take off the headset. Neither of those issues occur with a properly set AMVR cover. So yes, these are very comfortable, adjustable, and ideal for glasses; just note that these won't resolve any existing issues with above-average sized glasses. ... show more

  • Decent value, not the most premium but works well enough
Frame was a little warped, not enough to cause an issue but does show lower than expected production (easily fixed as well). Also frame velcro doesn't hold very well to the two interfaces provided, it's again not a huge issue and stays put but it's easy to pull off. I might advise adding some better velcro material to the back of the face pad if your concerned but again minor issue. However on the flip side including the nose gap cover and lens cover was a nice bonus. Even if the advised install and use of nose flap is never going to stay put, i recommend getting some silicone compatable glue to adhere some Velcro and some velcro glued or stitched to the nose area on the frame, works great and is removable if you need the gap or someone doesn't like the flap. While I don't wear my glasses in VR I will admit despite the gaps in the foam interface are nice on paper, however there aren't any in the frame itself so there moderately pointless, so take that as you will. May not be as premium as some of the other covers but works well enough and is priced well enough. Worth trying at the very lease. *update many months later* I’ve been using this facial interface for quite a good number of months at this point, and unfortunately the Velcro no longer even holds remotely adequately anymore. It never really had a adequate Velcro adhesion on the facial foam portion. More or less it’s barely felt texture wise and the Velcro hooks on the plastic frame just never get a good grip. Honestly I would probably recommend getting one of the other manufacturers it’s a pretty significant design flaw in the long run to not have adequate Velcro on both parts of the interface. On the plus side the foam has held up wonderfully well as has the frame, though I never did find a adequate way of holding in the nose gap silicone piece. You can replace the Velcro but I really haven’t found an adequate reliable method to do so just yet, But having to fix a design flaw yourself isn’t idea in my opinion. ... show more

  • Decent face padding, unless you have glasses.
I bought this over other brands for the eyeglass cutouts and while the padding itself is fairly comfortable, It does not fit my glasses at all. The cutout is too small and pinches my glasses, making them unable to sit naturally on my nose. My glasses are 5.68"(144mm) across the front. I've since gotten prescription lenses for my headset, but now with the added height from the lenses my nose can hit them if I shake my head side to side. That being said my nose is fairly large and there isn't a ton of padding at the very end where the tip of your nose is. You can use the Oculus glasses adapter between this and the headset and it gives a little extra room. It won't clip in quite as securely but by no means will it fall out. The rubber nose piece works well and blocks out most of the light. There is a small manufacturer defect with the padding on mine where there is a small hard spot that looks like it melted somehow. It is off to the side and doesn't effect comfort so that wasn't a deal breaker for me. It doesn't seem like anyone else has had this issue. I'd like to see a thicker padding than 10mm, once it's compressed it's pretty thin. Also a wider and taller cutout for glasses. It's also pretty expensive for what it is. If you don't have glasses it's a decent replacement interface, and there aren't may other options. If you have glasses, unless they are incredibly skinny, your gonna have a bad time. ... show more
