  • This would be $1,000 if it was vintage or boutique. But this is solid and sounds better.
Color: Power Supply
It is amazing what you can get, delivered, for so amazingly little money now. This is 3 effects pedals in one super slick, compact, cool and rugged metal box. This middle pedal: the “Ocean Verb”; I’ve been wanting this for years. I have a real Fender Twin Reverb, and a Mint Roland Space Echo RE-201. And every classic pedal. BUT, this spring reverb adds something I’ve never heard: you can actually hear the “waters lapping.” Like some kind of huge indoor pool. It is truly a one of a kind reverb. I also have the Afterneath and the Holy Grail. This is something amazing and different . It also does Room and Shimmer, both killer. The delay pedal sounds analog. There is no bad setting. The ROTO ENGiNE = here is the other reason I gambled on this pedal. I have 2 of the Digitech/ Harmon Jimi Hendrix experience expression pedals. AMAZING univibe emulator. THEY WERE BOTH SUPER EXPENSIVE AND DIED AFTER JUSTBBEONG USED IN MY LIVING ROOM . And yes, I have several furman and Monster Power Conditioners. I got the Rotovibe you are supposed to get (the JH not the JD) : it’s not even close. This thing nails it. Normally I hate chorus but this one is intense. Not like the cheesy 80s sound I always hated. So: Hendrix played a “Ludwig II Phase Synthesizer” at Woodstock. A multi device like this . Only a few hundred made. I was gonna get it for $1,000 dollars around 2003AD. Even new, they were noisy, falling apart, buggy... no working originals left This thing costs less than the price of the 3 pedals in it. And 2 of those pedals are also 3 different pedals (I.e. phaser + vibe + chorus) But here’s my experience unboxing it.I plugged in the Strat and powered up. Before I went into an amp, I tried headphones.Bam! Was not expecting this: killer practice headphone amp. Reminded me of the first time I plugged into a Rockman. Or now: I’ve been using the little VOX unit(also highly recommend!) . So I got lost for hours before Igot to an amp. TOTALLY INTUITIVE, I DIDNT HAVE TO READ INSTRUCTIONS! How many multi effects can you say that about? The pedals are intuitive, but also: there are no bad sounds. And then I figured this out, almost immediately: double tap the right switch, and it is a Preset switch! You can set up a killer sound and then switch back and forth! Blown away/ was not expecting that. Every control and switch on it lights up and is color coded. The knobs already have those cool rubber grips, like they sell for your guitar volume knobs (ala Adrian Belew). Unreal. I could do any gig on earth with this and my fuzz pedal. Even if my amp died , probably just run this straight to the board. FWIW: I own ALL the multi FX. Digitech 2120, GP-10, rp-100, ZOOM gn9.2 and so many more... ZOOM is best, but knobs are failing and proprietary power supply is dead. Replacement costs half of another used unit! THE POINT IS: those are not plug and play. Those are not fun to play. This was rocking as soon as I plugged it in. This is going on my stage board, instead of boxes of thousands of dollars worth of delicate gear that would need maintenance and get stolen. • Not much personality
The pedal was smaller than expected - which could be a good thing if you’re trying to conserve space. For my guitars (various single coils) I couldn’t get much bite out of this - it seemed to be operating mostly as a fairly transparent overdrive - wanted something with a bit more dirt

  • Not Just a Compressor, But a Nice Clean Boost
Color: Transparent
The media could not be loaded. So as per usual with my reviews, this pedal has switches that switch, a button that button, and the knobs REALLY knob. But just what is a compressor? Well, a compressor kind of compresses, but it also stretches, and sometimes thickens. Depends on what the dynamic it's filtering is. If you're playing soft, it makes it louder. If you're playing louder, it makes it softer. Now, that's a really, REALLY dumbed down version--the TL;DR is it makes everything sound more consistent across your playing--which for someone with never and tendon damaged hands, that's a good thing! Knobs: They knob just as knobby as you please. I really like turning the knobs on these type of pedals, it's very satisfying. I don't know why. Just feels good. Solid. Level, compression, and tone. Level adjusts the volume, compression adjusts the compression, and tone cuts or boosts the treble. All function exactly as intended and expected. You can cut all the compression out, and turn the level up, and use this pedal as a clean boost, giving you two pedals for the price of one. Versatility in a pedal is something I VERY much like, especially at this price point. Switch: Now, you'll see a lot of peeps say the switch does nothing. DONAE LISTEN TO THEM. They donae know what they're banging on aboot. They assume it'll boost the treble, in fact, it cuts it. Watch my video, you'll hear the hiss from the amp cut out. No lies. It works well, and gives a subtle cut to the treble. So if you've got a harsh single coil twang, you could flip that switch and tone it down a touch. Nice feature for the Tele players out there. Also, switches very nicely, feels solid. Button: It's a stompy stomper, stomp it. Turns the pedal on and off. Not much to talk about here. At the end of the day, I've gotta give it 5 stars. Why? It's cheap, it does what it says on the tin, AND it acts as a clean boost, so it does MORE than it says on the tin. I get what I paid for and then some. How is this a bad deal? I tell you--it's not. It's a killer deal. What are you waiting for? Buy this pedal. ... show more

  • Sounds great but noisy
Color: Distiortion
Pretty authentic Blues Breaker clone. I was able to dial in the same sound on this as another ~$100 clone. Unfortunately it's extremely prone to picking up radio signals and it's not a power issue based on the other couple dozen pedals that have been run on the same rig in the same locations.

  • Lotta sound options for little money
Color: Harmonizer
The media could not be loaded. The Amuzik Harmonizer had all the standard features you'd expect from a Chinese 300 Series pedal. With three modes- upper register, lower register, and Detune, there is a wide range of harmonizing tones as well as some nice chorus capabilities. In "HIGH" mode, the harmonizer plays intervals increasingly higher above the dry signal as the Range knob is turned clockwise, up to an octave and then to a second octave. In th LOW mode, the intervals are increasingly lower. "DETUNE" mode can give some nice chorus tones as well as some avant garde quirkiness. The pallet is broadened by the inclusion of both wet and dry signal blending pots. Surprisingly, it has A PROGRAMMING FUNCTION that lets you program your favorite go-to tone so that it's easy to return to it without having to dial it in again. At this price it's a great little tone box and a fun piece of kit for the experimental textural player and producer alike. There are some issues with the tracking, which has a slight slapback delay with hard picking but is greatly mitigated with softer picking, ambient chording, and with the help of a compressor to remove the high clicks of the picked string. Despite that, it remains an excellent value, with lots of tonal capabilities and a fun addition to your pedal board! ... show more
