The media could not be loaded. My existing camera was constantly dropping the Wi-Fi. After months of trial and error, and repeated failures, I decided to replace my camera. I had purchased other products from AMTIFO and since I have been very satisfied with their products, I decided to try their camera for outside security. I had power available from the old camera, but I really wanted to try the solar option which is a great solution for those without a power source. The installation was easy, especially since I had experience with their other equipment. Everything needed was included with the camera and it provided multiple options for installation. I highly recommend viewing the video link that was provided in the instruction manual. Downloading the VicoHome to my iPhone and iPad took a little time, but by following the prompts step by step, it connected the first time. I recommend setting up the unit close to the Wi-Fi source and getting everything working before you install the unit in its permanent location. Note it only works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The quality of the product and hardware was excellent. It appears to be very waterproof and able to operate in almost any weather conditions. The picture quality far exceeded my previous camera and the motion detection, notifications, and video settings were very straightforward and worked seamlessly. Both the daylight and night video are very acceptable for security. I installed the SD card that was in my old camera, so I did not have to format the card, but any new card will have be to formatted before use. There are many options for lighting, power, and audio that makes me very satisfied with this product so I am ordering another one to replace my fixed camera to give me more flexibility. This is a very affordable camera that exceeded my expectations.

The media could not be loaded. This is the second home security I've purchased which uses the Vicohome app. After easy setup and installation, I was able to access/view/get notifications for both cameras using the same app. The app itself well-made and intuitive. This camera is probably the best one you can get at this price point. It does everything it advertises. It turns/pivots to visualize all 360 degrees of its surroundings. The microphone is sensitive enough to pick up voice. Depending on your camera and phone connection, there may be some lag if you try to have an extended conversation, but it's sufficient for quick messages. Daytime resolution is excellent. The camera automatically turns on it's infared lights at night for night-vision. The infared provides clear black-and-white video and motion detection at close-medium range. You can also turn of the LED for color vision at night. The solar panel works well to keep the camera charged. The camera battery so far has always been above 95% as far as I am aware. Excellent value for this price point for all its features.

Been using this a while, so time for a review. I think the picture quality is really good. It was easy to install, as the mount is seperate from the camera body. I mounted it on a metal downspout so I used different screws. As for keeping the internal battery charged, the solar panel works well. It has been keeping the camera battry charged even though my only option was to face the panel northwest. I like the sensitivity adjustment for alerts. On low, it will pick up movment in the driveway, but not on the street. On high it reachs out onto the street. The wireless connectivity is very good; however I will mention that the camera is mounted on the same end of the house as my routher is. So far, this has been a great investment.

Everything works just as it should. I am very pleased with the camera and its performance. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because of the difficulties that I encountered in getting the camera to work properly. It does not have a memory card so unless you are going to pay for storage in the cloud you need to purchase one. I purchased a 128GB card for my use. Where my problem began was in not knowing how to format the card so it would interface with the camera. After formatting the card with my computer I found that it was the wrong format. After much work I eventually found out that the camera would format the card itself. Once this was done I was ready to install the camera. The installation was easy and it works very well. While I am a Ph.D. Electrical Engineer, I am also 93 years old and lots have changed in my lifetime so I have to rely on my Grandchildren and others for help with the latest technology. The instructions that came with the camera could be improved for people like me to better understand how to do things. The video that was referenced was very helpful. The app that is used is not as user friendly as it could be. One caution, you MUST have a strong Wi-Fi signal, or it will not work. I had to use a different router than the one I would have normally used since it had a weak signal and would not work. Since you are much younger, and are up to date on the current technology, this whole installation would probably be a "piece of cake" for you.
