The addition of a .5 or .7 Barlow lens is a must have for an electronics microscope IMHO, I really think this is a good buy for an economical lens. No distortion or issues. Really nice improvement in the working distance of my microscope set up.

The image is just as perfectly clear and sharp as it was before, only now I have a bit less magnification, a bit more working distance and depth of field, and a physical barrier to keep out dust and solder vapors. It is alright for the price, but optics quality is noticeably low. It does the job and gives slightly more magnification for my AmScope compared to included 0.5x lens while maintaining reasonable working distance
