Not sure what I should have expected but they came dusty and I cannot 100% verify however I kept finding what looked to be clear fragments in samples and then decided to look at a clean slide. As others have mentioned, they aren't packed well for shipping. I was a bit concerned that the box was crushed on one end, but there was also an inner box that was ok. The slides in my box seem all ok, luckily nothing broken.

I bought these for my daughter's science fair project and they look as advertised and will work just fine for her needs. My issue is with the shipping. These arrived in a thin Amazon bag with no padding or protection. As a result, the box containing the slides was damaged and there are small glass shards in the box from the broken slides. Come on Amazon, if it's glass, package it with care! I would return them for a replacement, but we can't wait to use them as she needs to get started on her project and there are luckily enough in one piece serve our purposes. ... show more
