My kid have a blast with this toy. This is like a 2 in 1 RC vehicle. It acts as a boat on water and as a car on land. It also responds well to the gesture controls or remote. The RC can easily ride thru light snow, grass, gravel and carpet. Charging time take less then 2 hours and is good for ~30 mins of playtime. Since it is winter we haven’t tried putting the RC in the lake or river. But it was able to stay afloat in the bathtub and moved around. However, a little bit of water did get into the battery compartment, even tho we screwed it shut. Thus we are concern that the car is not 100% waterproof, and long usage in water will affect the lifespan of the RC. ... show more

This little car is indeed fun and offers some very cool features that I haven’t seen in even more expensive models. If the car flips, no problem—it’s designed to work on both sides, so you’ll never get stuck! This inexpensive car is also waterproof and can run in shallow water, like puddles from rain, but I wouldn’t try anything deeper than that. It’s also cool that it can increase height, making it suitable for climbing rides over uneven terrain. This car doesn’t use a standard RC controller with a steering wheel but employs two joysticks—one for forward-reverse and another for turning. This is much more kid-friendly and easier for kids aged 4-5 to operate than a classical RC remote. Unfortunately, there are some cons to this car. It comes with two single batteries offering very short playtime, I would say less than 10 minutes per battery. In order to replace an empty battery with a charged one, you need to use a screwdriver to remove two small screws first, which is rather impractical and hard for kids to do, especially if they are outside playing. The car is less powerful than what you may expect given the size; it runs fine on smooth surfaces but gets stuck easily in grass higher than 1 inch. Overall, a fun toy and decent value for the money. Can also be a great present, as all kids that tried playing with this car really enjoyed it despite some shortcomings. ... show more

I got this RC car for my daughter, and it's been quite a hit! This car is a little champion on all terrains, zooming over our hardwood floors and tackling the backyard with ease, when we took it to the pool, it glided over water just as well that's real cool! The dual control system is pretty cool too, with the option to use either the remote or hand gestures, my kiddo loves the gesture control, it's like she's got some kind of superpower commanding her car. The extra battery pack is a lifesaver, we get about 30 minutes of play before it's time to recharge, which is somewhat enough. However, a small heads up you'll need to grab batteries for the controller separately. Design-wise, it's a looker with its rubber paddle wheels, and it's not just for show either; this car grips the ground firmly, making it sturdy during play. I ordered this for my gbaby's birthday and all the kids including my adult son think it's pretty cool. It runs over carpet, hard floors, area rugs and even outdoors. It can flip over and drive on either side. But of course the coolest feature is that it is amphibious and can also cross water. There is about half an hour of runtime before you need to charge the battery for the car. For the hand gestures and remote, you'll need separate batteries. ... show more

It’s a very fun RC car for my kid. We have some other RC cars that are far more mediocre compared to this.. It’s cool that it has a rugged monster truck mode where it transforms higher.. this makes it so it can actually go over certain things on the floor and keep going.. it seems like it can really run in the rugged outdoors.. it also comes with two batteries which is a plus as you can be charging one battery while playing with the car.. I do wish the batteries were higher quality and lasted longer though.. but it’s hard to get good quality batteries nowadays with these off brand toys. It can actually compare with some brand names toy RC cars with the functions it has.. But given the price you can probably buy some brand name toy rc cars actually.. There may be some quality issues with these off brand toys.. one is the batteries. The other issue is the quality control. The RC car is a little misaligned. The front wheels are every so slightly tilted to the right.. I’ve added a photo for you to see.. it’s very slight, but this actually causes the car not to go straight.. it turns to the right when playing it… if it doesn’t matter to you then this might be for you.. I’ll stick with the brand name toys that have more quality control. ... show more
