  • Beautiful - Easy - Needs Higher Heat
This is the first metalic filament I've purchased and I couldn't be happier. The shine and colors are beautiful, the color change is very gradual. I'll buy from this seller/manufacturer again. I'm only about 2 weeks into 3D printing (so still a novice) and found this filament very easy to work with. A few notes: 1. For temperature, I went with 200/50 for the poly pot (last picture) and while the pot looks beautiful, there are small imperfections throughout. It's still water tight but the next pot I made with the same pattern was not. Someone mentioned that they thought the temperature needed to be higher and I have to agree. See my next comment. 2. The first 4 pictures show a more textured design that's currently running. The bottom was done at 210/55 for temps and looks a little messy. I decided to try a little higher temp since it was switching to the darker filament and went with 215/55. It looks like it was the perfect temp as you can see that the higher up rows have less mess. Going forward I will use the 215/55 combo no matter where the gradient is at in terms of color. 3. I did have to pull out and rethread the filament when starting the second pot (like the 4th pic). It stopped loading and looked like the filament might have been too wide but I couldn't be certain. It might have been a clog or the temp. I've printed three projects since then with no issues so I am going to assume it wasn't the filament size. 4. Yes, the color change is slow.   • I have NEVER been disappointed with an Amolen filament
Leave it to Amolen to make a UV color change filament that EVEN STICKS WELL TO HOLOGRAPHIC PLATES!! Crazy! But I'm not surprised as Amolen makes top-shelf filaments. Their Firefly glowing filament (blue or green, it doesn't matter) is the most amazing filament I've ever used. You can make spider silk out of it with a 3D printer pen if you want. Anyway, I got this UV color change PLA for some experimental work and I need it to stick to a holographic build plate so when it changes to the purple-pink color, the hologram pops. The first UV change PLA I tried was no Amolen and it wouldn't hardly stick to a textured plate. I was chasing the nozzle around with my torch to melt it down. Well this Amolen stuff sticks to a 55°C holographic plate at 220°C extrusion temperature!! And as you can see from my video, it takes SIGNIFICANT force to remove it after it's cooled down (but nothing crazy either). That is EXACTLY what you want to get the best hologram on your prints. You'll also learn about how much UV is outside. Take your print to the front door in the day time. Weather doesn't matter. Now hold it outside but shaded from the sun. Cool right?!? Now take it back inside until it's white again and then take it right into the sun. Again, AMAZING. ... show more

  • Excellent! Prints great on my stock Ender 3 Pro
Set name: Black-TPU 95A
First time ever using any brand of TPU filament. Printed some antique mason jar gaskets (not for canning use) on a Creality Ender 3 Pro with a stock 0.4mm nozzle and bowden-tube type extruder. Following advice I read in a print forum, I printed just one object at a time to reduce stringing. The gaskets printed flat on the plate with no supports, using the settings shown in the picture (Prusa slicer). Worked perfectly on the very first try... Adhered perfectly to the stock magnetic plate and no stringing. Very pleased with this filament. Its very flexible and stretches easily. Not as much as a rubber band. It's more firm. And has more a feel like a flexible vinyl in terms of its surface traction. I plan to try printing some electric model car tires and tank treads to see how they work. May not be soft enough to provide good traction, but it certainly looks great. Very smooth printing so far. ... show more

  • Excellent filament
Set name: White-PEBA 90A
I printed a double wall airless basketball with the white PEBA filament. It came out great! I dried for 6 hours at 70 degrees prior to printing and printed straight from the dryer box. I had literally no problems at all with the print. The filament is very stretchy but dries to be hard but flexible. No brittleness. I didn’t have much stringing at all.   • Get your settings right
For every other PLA filament I've used I've set the temperature to 200 and went with it and gotten great results from wood PLA to marble PLA. But my first print with this material it came out pretty brittle, a decent amount of errors and not shiny at all like what I was expecting. So I then turned my temperature up to 212 and it made a world of difference. I printed the exact same thing and its so much stronger the layer lines are less pronounced and its very shiny in comparison. So 212 worked for me and I just did 215 and it yielded the same results so if you're not getting the results you had hoped for with this filament try turning up your nozzle temp it likes to be printed a little warmer than other PLA.   • Has potential but isn't consistent
Set name: Green-TPU 95A Glow
Second update, the further I get on the roll (obviously all in the trash because I can't finish a single damn build) the filament gets worse and worse. Will definitely not buy this trash again. I have multiple orders I need to fill and am unable because I have a now half roll of trash filament that is useless and won't print no matter who or what is tried. Update, the glow in the dark is trash,is trash I've tried all sorts of different settings and I can't get one to look anywhere near decent, especially the first layer. I dried the filament for 8 hours like recommended, went to their website for the settings and there's minimal data sheet information. I'm running this on a brand new flashforge AD5X and have been printing for 2 years so I'm not a rookie. I've wasted at least 100 g or more on failed prints with this filament some being the first layer and others being close to finished I just don't get? old review: it's ok, and has potential, but I can't seem to get a simple print to finish, it'll start and then just quit half way through. I've used other TPU and had no issues, ran the same settings as this brand and keep waisting filament on failed prints. ... show more
