I bought this filament bundle for my 10-year-old grandson because he loves his 3D printer and is always looking for something new to make. He was really excited about all the different color combinations, and I have to admit, the finished prints look pretty cool! The shiny silk finish really makes his projects stand out, and the colors change depending on the angle you’re looking at them. The bundle comes with four 200g spools of dual-color 1.75mm PLA filament. He’s already used it to make a few little toys and other creations, and he loves showing us how the colors look different when he turns them around. It has printed nicely for him without giving him a lot of trouble, which is definitely a plus. My only complaint is that the spools are smaller than the regular rolls he normally uses, so a favorite color can go pretty quickly. But for letting him experiment with several fun colors without buying four full-size rolls, this set has been perfect. I’ve used most of this Amolen color‑changing filament on my Ender‑3 clone, and it performed good from start to finish. The color‑shift effect is fun to watch — it reacts quickly to heat and cold, so prints change tone in real time while you’re handling them. It’s a great filament for projects where you want a little extra visual flair. Print quality was consistent throughout the spool. I didn’t run into clogs, under‑extrusion, or brittleness, and the filament fed smoothly the entire time. Layer adhesion was ok maybe adjust the higher heat- slower layer/wall extrusion a little, and it stuck to my magnetic build plate without needing glue or hairspray but there were times it did pop off so I used hairspray just for precaution. I didn’t have any issues with warping, and the filament behaved predictably across different temperatures. If you’re running an Ender‑3 or similar machine, this filament should work without any special tuning. Overall, this was reliable, fun filament with a color‑changing effect that actually works. I printed a lot of fidget cubes, fidget toys bc they are handled a lot and show the color changing affect the most. ... show more

To start with I want to say that the color in the pictures is not accurate at all. It shows a blueish gray type gray, and the actual color is a very plain basic grey. That being said, that is not an issue for me. I bought this strictly as a cheap as possible budget filament, and it does that great. I've been printing it in my K2 plus with the CFS and it's printed just as well as any other cheap pla I've had with no issue so far. While it's nothing special, it is an great value. At just over $8 a spool I've seen no other options at this value especially without it being on sale at all. That makes this great for stuff where aesthetics and material choice isn't important, like prototype or fitment tests for new designs. This way I don't feel as wasteful printing my 12th iteration of a design I've been fumbling around making. Overall if you're looking for something fancy this isn't it, but if you want cheap bulk PLA that prints just fine, this does it well. ... show more

This filament is super cool and shiny. The quality is good. Dries super hard so i would say its not great for smaller printings. Its of course easy to install and it definitely is heat resistant. It prints very good. We did have some clogging which wasnt great. It all started to come out in blobs and it dries fast so it immediately harden so we had to use a heat gun to clean it out and unclog it. Its good for the price though. ... show more

Being somewhat new to 3D printing (2 months) I read the reviews on this filament and all the clogging issues and possible fixes, but I still wanted to try it because it looks great. Alas .. I have the same woes with it as many others have with clogging and failed prints. I first put it in my dryer and got the humidity down below 10% .. loaded it up (the cherry wood) and tried my first print, a small cross pendant and that worked great. After that I tried a longer print (about 7 hours) for a small animal bust figurine, and the printer head clogged 1/2 through. I cleaned the tip, turned up my nozzle and bed temp a little and the print almost completed this time before clogging. After the third attempt failed again (adjusting my temps lower this time). I think I am going to put this away for a while and move on to other project until I have more time to fiddle around with the different printer settings. This is definitely NOT a beginner filament. And so far, it is the only one that has given me much trouble at all. (all my earlier issues were user error while I was learning my printer). The second thing to note, the sample pack contains very small spools which have been hard to mount easily on my filament spool holder on my printer (they like to wobble around without figuring out a way to stabilize them). I will just stick to 1K spools from now on. I rated this a 3 star because it has been a pain to get to work, but I have hope to figure it out. I will update in the future is I figure out anything that works for me. ... show more
