DO NOT BUY. Edit: despite what I said below, I tried the new bright rainbow glow filament. It’s beautiful and glows super well…except what I said below still stands. I have spent the past 24 hours having to repeatedly take my printer apart to dig out broken filament pieces, and with 45 minutes left in a 16 hour print, it finally failed completely, which means I wasted over half of the roll of filament (not great at $30 a roll). I’m also having to buy new Bambu nozzles bc the filament wrecked 2 during this attempted print, so I’ve wasted around $40 plus many, many hours of my time on this. Not happy. I love almost everything Amolen does. The vast majority of their filaments and colors are excellent, and I have zero problems with them. These glow in the dark ones are trash though. I have had to take my Bambu X1C apart and extract broken bits of this filament from various parts of the machine TWICE now in 2 days. I managed one print (but still had to dissect my machine after), then the second print failed, and required an even greater dissection to get all the little bits out of everywhere. I will not be using anything from this line again, I don’t want it wrecking my machine.

You almost need to put them in the sun for a bit so they glow in the dark or, in a well lit room for hours. Have not used it a lot, all I see is green on the little bit I printed. Good price though.

I was excited to try the AMOLEN Glow in The Dark Multicolor Rainbow PLA Filament, especially because the advertised colors (blue, green, pink, purple) and glow-in-the-dark effects sounded perfect for my creative projects. Unfortunately, the actual product didn’t fully live up to its claims. Pros: Smooth Printing: The filament is easy to use and prints smoothly with minimal clogging or tangling. Glow-in-the-Dark Effect: While not as vibrant as expected, the glow feature does work, especially when exposed to strong UV light beforehand. Dimensional Accuracy: The filament maintained the promised +/- 0.02 mm tolerance, resulting in clean and detailed prints. Cons: Color Accuracy: The biggest letdown is that the colors are not as advertised. Instead of distinct and vibrant blue, green, pink, and purple transitions, the filament’s colors are much duller and less defined. The gradient effect is barely noticeable in smaller prints, and even larger prints fail to show the rich, vivid hues I was expecting. Glow Intensity: The glow feature is underwhelming compared to the marketing images. Even after charging under bright light, it’s not as bright or colorful as shown. While the picture I have attached to this review demonstrates a nice bright glow, unfortunately, the camera does exaggerate this effect. False Advertising: The product photos create unrealistic expectations. It’s disappointing to realize that the colors and effects in real-world use are far less impressive. Recommended Uses: This filament might work for projects where subtle color changes and glow effects are acceptable. However, if you’re expecting the vibrant colors and bold gradients advertised, you’ll likely be disappointed. Conclusion: While the filament prints well and has some glow-in-the-dark functionality, it falls short of its marketing claims. The colors are not vibrant, and the glow effect is weaker than expected. It’s a functional filament but not worth the premium price if you’re buying it for the advertised aesthetics.

The filament is abrasive due to glow in the dark addictive which makes it harder to feed through the extruders. The glow is neat though. The picture attached was taken with night sight on a Google pixel.

I ordered the glow rainbow filament and put it under different strengths of light and sun. There is no 'Rainbow' color to it. Just a blue hue. I'm a bit dissapointed with it.

I bought this ink for the 3D printer I thought it's going to be cool because it glows at night and I bought it and I printed already couple of stuff and then I went and put it in the dark and it's not glowing so don't buy it
